I left a property since July 12th and as at today, they are still holding back my tenancy deposit, saying they are waiting for landlord authorisation despite knowing clearly that tenancy deposit must be returned within ten days after tenant vacated the property

Sean came to value our property and, unlike another local agent, rather than tell us how bad other local agents were and try and get us to go for a lower value to sell quickly, he saw and marketed our house to its full potential. The marketing material was superb and, backed up by a great service by Karen and the office team. And we sold within 5 days!<br>That may not always happen of course but the communication was great and they were all lovely to deal with throughout the process.
25th Nov 2025 (8 mo. ago)It’s really important to find an estate agent that can market, generate interest and ultimately get that sale you are wanting and Alexander’s can do this. What most people forget about is the process from accepting that offer to completion day, which can be a long time, in a long chain, with long delays from various solicitors and issues that arise. Molly Mcbride at Alexander’s is extremely tenacious, educated and has your back all the way to the finish line. She single handedly progressed our whole chain, constantly chasing up and down, jumping over every hurdle and there was a few! Had we chosen another estate agent I would still be waiting to exchange, it’s opened my eyes into how important it is to make sure you instruct the right estate agent with the right people. Thank you so much Molly!

He arrived thoroughly prepared with market data, detailed analysis, comparable properties, social media marketing examples, and a clear strategy for selling our home. He spent plenty of time with us, answered all our questions, and showed genuine passion and enthusiasm for our property—something the other agents simply didn't.<br><br>The marketing was excellent. It was clear the team had taken the time to research the property properly, and the photography, video, and social media promotion were all first-class.<br><br>Throughout the entire process, communication was fantastic. We received regular updates, and the team were always quick to deal with any administrative tasks or queries. Took my business elsewhere and Riva lily responded same day!! Definitely not the experience I was expecting from Hampsons

12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)Purchased a property which fell through last second on seller side was offered the same property on rent which I accepted and was told to get things moving fast or would lose the property. Sent across deposit and then was told was issue with property after a month or so was told the property was ready to move in. I had by then arranged to live at another property as the timescales was too long and I had already been waiting since march as I thought I was purchasing the property. I asked for a refund from the agencyfor the deposit and they just declined . I just felt disheartened that firstly I was messed around with the seller and then the agency didn’t even acknowledge that I had been waiting around for 4 months and I had no choice but to find alternative accomdation.

Not the fault of the estate agent, however there was no adjustment to the online profile at any point to refresh the advert. Nothing posted on socials that I’m aware of either.

From the beginning, Georgina has been incredibly friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about the property. It is clear that she takes a genuine interest in both the house and her clients. She has kept us fully up to date at every stage, and has gone above and beyond to help us, even taking calls and assisting us outside of normal working hours.
