13th Apr 2026 (25 days ago)I’m writing this on behalf of a friend to share a really disappointing and concerning experience with Knight Frank regarding a rental property in Bracknell/Lyndhurst. The property was originally listed at £3,000 pcm. My friend offered the full asking price but was told the landlord wanted to wait as it had just come on the market. Fair enough. Two months later, the price dropped to £2,800, and she again offered the asking price. At that point, she was asked to provide very personal financial information, including bank statements. Despite complying (with sensitive details redacted), the offer was rejected — with no explanation given. When she asked for feedback, the agent simply didn’t respond. Since then, the monthly rent has reduced further to £2,650. What’s more concerning is that when someone else viewed the property presenting as a “family unit,” they were strongly encouraged to make an offer. This raises serious questions about fairness and transparency in how applicants are being treated. Please note that they did not do any credit checks, and my friend is my boss and earns significantly more than I do. Also her children are in boarding school. So she can afford the rent. No one expects to be guaranteed a property, but basic professionalism, communication, and honesty should be the minimum standard. Ignoring applicants after requesting sensitive personal data is unacceptable. This experience felt dismissive, opaque, and potentially discriminatory. At the very least, applicants deserve clear communication and respect throughout the process. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

Throughout the process they have been very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, informative and exceptionally helpful. They were our go to for anything we wanted to know and kept us regularly informed on how the whole chain was doing. Without their expertise, we are sure it would have taken a lot longer for our purchase to complete. They offered us help with names of local removal companies and catteries - nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate to recommend this most professional of Estate Agents if you are looking to buy it sell in this area, they are superb.

Henne in particular deserves a mention - she really helped when our chain was dragging by communicating up and down the line and keeping us informed every step. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

My sale was lengthy and stressful due to a collapsed chain but dealt with swiftly and compasionately and with a new buyer in place quickly. The best thing about dealing with this firm is the staff. I nearly always dealt Amy who could not have been more on the ball, knowledgable, helpful and kind. She always went the extra mile to provide a good service. Well done to all of them for their hard work and professionalism
