But felt they could have been more honest with the market situation up front with us.- 14th Jan 2026 (25 weeks ago)Following various conversations with several estate agents we chose Bradleys primarily due to the professional attitude of Rachel Malone, the manager. She assisted with recommendations for portraying our house at its best and we secured a buyer within three weeks . There were communication difficulties within the chain but Rachel’s dogged persistence ensured that the sale completed. I would definitely use Bradleys again and think they provide a superior service.

After 14 viewings we have managed to sell but at a price that is £60,000.00 under the original asking price due to the drop in overall property prices in the area.

The Knowledge and expertise is invaluable and I welcomed the honest and transparent approach. Whilst the conveyancing process posed some challenges, I particularly appreciated the responsiveness and support from Allsworth’s to enable us to complete within a set deadline.
23rd Mar 2026 (15 weeks ago)I called the agency to ask for advice with a tenant issue I have been having, and they helped me fully with my problem. I asked about the new changes too and they sent me a booklet of everything I needed to be aware of! Such a helpful and lovely team. 5* service and prices are the cheapest in the area, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend. Thanks to Lisa and the team, would definitely work with them again.
24th Jul 2025 (11 mo. ago)Its a difficult market for selling. Properties are listed in abundance with valuations perhaps starting too high. Buyers are few and far between which meant that we had only 4 viewings over the same number of months. Every viewing is therefore critical and needs your agent to be fully appraised of features and any questions answered. Initial valuations versus actual market sale price need to be considered carefully.

22nd Jan 2021 (5 years ago)Southgate originally acted as letting agents for our property - they are efficient, reliable and nothing was too much trouble. They have now acted as selling agents, this took a bit longer than anticipated but Southgate agents have kept us informed and been helpful during the whole process.

8th Jun 2026 (28 days ago)Very disappointing experience with Rendells Lettings in newton abbot.<br><br>We expressed serious interest in a rental property in early May, provided documents immediately, travelled down from Oxfordshire to see if we could view the house, followed up multiple times by email and phone, and even visited the office in person (told them it was an 8 hour drive for us). After which we got not one call or email from the person who runs the lettings dept. Throughout the process we were repeatedly told that the landlord would “come back with further instructions,” but after more than a month we still received no proper update or clear answer.<br><br>And also they told us that they get so many applications they just don’t care and will not respond to anything. They refuse to do online viewings (which all the other agencies are willing to do), don't respond to applications (after you have filled out given them your life on paper basically). Complete limbo.<br><br>Meanwhile, the property remained advertised online the entire time!<br><br>What made the experience frustrating was not necessarily losing out on the property, but the complete lack of communication and basic courtesy. Calls and emails went unanswered, timelines were unclear, and we were left unable to plan our own housing situation despite explaining that notice had to be given on our current tenancy.<br><br>Other agencies we dealt with in Devon were far more professional, responsive, and respectful.<br><br>Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Rendells Lettings, other agencies in Devon are far far better and I can’t recommend them enough, Rendells lettings in newton abbot was in 25 years of renting through agencies the very worst experience i have ever had, take my advice and don’t do it
