5th Dec 2022 (3 years ago)Disappointing experience. We unfortunately entered the market just as the economy was crashing into recession. However we chose Churchill because of their long standing local presence and thought they would provide an excellent service. We found them old fashioned and disjointed e.g. no 360 degrees online presentation of our house, we had to point out out that the published photos were originally missing a room, they was a complete lack of diversity in their agents (of which we had to deal with 3 different men although the area manager had said we would only be dealing with him) the different agents didn’t appear to have pre-read the information we had provided about our house before the viewings and there was a general lack of ongoing communication. In the end we only had two viewings before we ended the contract after 4 weeks.
24th Mar 2026 (15 weeks ago)I had a disappointing experience dealing with this agency regarding a commercial unit at The Embassy in Waltham Cross. We entered into active negotiations, made a formal offer, and progressed discussions in good faith, only to be informed mid-process that the unit had already been let to someone else. This was done without any clear communication or opportunity to proceed, despite being in ongoing discussions. It reflects a lack of transparency and professionalism in how the process was handled. Following this, we were offered an alternative unit at a higher asking price, which did not reflect the condition of the space (shell condition requiring full fit-out). Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and not respectful of the time and effort invested during the negotiation process. I would advise others to proceed with caution.
31st May 2026 (5 weeks ago)????? | ?????? Lettings Review ?????? Wow! Where do I even start?! I'll be honest, I came to McRaes with zero expectations. I've come across enough agents over the years to have become fairly resigned to the whole experience ?????? You know the drill: slow responses, vague answers, nobody really seeming to care whether you actually get a home or not. ? McRaes were genuinely something else entirely ? Brian, Miri and Sally looked after the lettings process from start to finish and the thing that struck me most was how human they all were. Not just polite but actually kind ?????? Considerate, empathetic and whenever I had a question or a wobble they responded with warmth and patience rather than the usual clipboard energy you get at other agencies. You don't find people like that in estate agency anymore, they are a rare, rare find ?????? ? What made McRaes stand out: ?????? Genuine, warm and approachable from day one ?????? Outstanding communication throughout and never left in the dark ?????? Seamless, stress-free process start to finish ?????? You actually feel like a person, not just a tenant reference number ?????? The kind of people you're genuinely sad to stop dealing with ?? One thing to flag regarding the inventory company: ?????? This is no reflection on McRaes whatsoever but the third-party inventory company they used fell well short. Items were logged as "professionally cleaned" and "good condition" when they were neither including appliances that simply weren't in working order. For a lettings team that holds itself to such a high standard, it's a noticeable weak link. I'd genuinely encourage McRaes to find an inventory provider whose thoroughness matches their own. ?????? ?????? Here's the bottom line. McRaes are the kind of estate agents you wish you'd found years sooner. Brian, Miri and Sally are wonderful and the whole experience was refreshingly smooth. ???????????? Sort the inventory company and it's a five-star operation without question! ?????

14th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)Not the best experience was fine until the house was sold. Sales staff are very friendly and so was the valuation expert. But don’t ask any questions about how your sale is progressing as you will be told to keep quite and don’t get stressed. Simple questions that required simple answers that’s all I wanted a yes or no not the novel I got. So much so I am now at the point of removing my home from the market all thanks to staff attitude. Bottom line have had to chase for offers to be put in writing, even then we did not receive all of them and had to chase for feedback from viewings. Personally I would be reluctant to use this Estae agent and would not do so again. My advice go multi agent or if you go with these just be prepared to be quite don’t ask questions for updates of progress and you will be fine. Yes the house is sold however as the vendor who holds the pen to sign the contract or now as the case maybe not and is paying a considerable sum of money for the sale of my home I found the communication totally unacceptable.

25th Jun 2026 (11 days ago)I’d have had an easier time getting blood out of a stone than getting my own deposit back.<br><br>My tenancy ended, yet Gray & Co withheld my entire deposit while they waited for quotes and paperwork. Not a penny of the undisputed funds was released, and I eventually had to start the MyDeposits dispute process myself.<br><br>I was even encouraged to agree to deductions to “avoid going to dispute” and warned that if I did dispute, the landlord would ask for even more.<br><br>If your idea of good customer service is endless chasing, shifting goalposts and fighting for your own money, you’ll feel right at home. Everyone else should look elsewhere.

21st Dec 2024 (1 year ago)It is with great confidence that I can recommend Bonds to sell your property. Bonds offer a one off up front price to sell your property. This is the method I chose to use. Once my bungalow had sold, it took a paticularly long time to go through. (This was due to my buyers side of things).... Jayne was on the case all the time. Jayne truly works wonders. I believe it was her constant chasing the legal teams that eventually got my sale through to completion.. All staff are always polite, courteous and very helpful. I have always been kept informed at all times from viewings to completion. Thankyou to Jayne and your team.

He was a great communicator, and this continued when Sally took over in her role as 'progressor'. She was often chasing different aspects of the sale, reporting back to us regularly and always responding to emails promptly. Thank you.
