We found him really down to earth, approachable and understanding.<br><br>He supported us throughout the process, being the conduit between us and our seller, even more so than their solicitor.<br><br>We really appreciated both his and Lauren’s support.
26th Sep 2026 (4 weeks ago)We had a mixed experience with Connells Bedford.<br><br>The estate agency side was generally fine. We viewed a number of properties with them and found the agents who conducted our viewings pleasant and helpful.<br><br>One thing I did not appreciate was how persistently we were encouraged to use Connells’ mortgage services while we were viewing properties and in the process of making offers. I completely understand offering an in-house mortgage service, but at times it felt excessive and added unnecessary pressure to an already stressful process.<br><br>We eventually did use their mortgage services and dealt with Scott for both our residential mortgage and a separate buy-to-let mortgage.<br><br>During the process, we ultimately withdrew from the property we had been purchasing through Connells and proceeded with a different property marketed by another estate agent. Unfortunately, as things progressed, we were left with the impression that the level of support and communication was no longer the same once our purchase was no longer through Connells.<br><br>We do appreciate Scott’s help in successfully arranging our residential mortgage, and we are grateful for his work on that side of things. Unfortunately, our experience with the buy-to-let mortgage was very different and ultimately disappointing.<br><br>There were difficulties with the initial application, followed by another application where we paid a valuation fee before subsequently discovering an incompatibility involving our already-instructed solicitors. We appreciate that issues with lenders and their requirements can arise and that these are not necessarily within a broker’s control.<br><br>What disappointed us most was the communication and follow-through afterwards. At a point when the transaction was time-sensitive and we needed guidance on how to proceed, Scott became increasingly difficult to get hold of and eventually stopped responding. We ultimately had to take the buy-to-let mortgage elsewhere and have another broker take over.<br><br>Overall, I think it’s important to give credit where it’s due: Scott helped us successfully secure our residential mortgage, and the estate agents we dealt with during our property viewings were perfectly pleasant. However, given how persistently the mortgage services had initially been promoted to us, the lack of communication and support when our buy-to-let application became more complicated was particularly disappointing.

She communicated clearly, took time to explain the details and answered our questions with patience and care. Although our circumstances meant we couldn’t proceed, we greatly appreciated her help throughout. We would happily recommend Beny to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and supportive estate agent.

This was my first ever purchase of a property, so i was new to the whole process, but my estate agent maid the process feel easy and not so daunting. If ever i had any questions he was always on call to answer and reassure me.I felt he handled it professionally and worked quickly to get to the completion of the sale. In conclusion, i was very happy with them as my estate agent and would definitely recommend to anyone as they provided an excellent service.

He handled our purchase with the patience of a saint, which was needed, as the sellers were not the easiest to deal with. He kept us informed at every stage, answered all of our questions (and there were a lot of them), and kept the whole thing moving when it could easily have stalled. The information flow was excellent throughout, and he was friendly and helpful the entire way. A genuine pleasure to deal with. Thank you, Gary, and highly recommended.

4th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)This was a terrible experience. I was promised it all and receive nothing. I was told there will be bespoke marketing but I just got a right move and Zoopla add and one social media post. No video even though we suggested it. When the property went on Rightmove there was a “glitch” and the exterior photos were not showing. Nor the floor plan or sizes. After almost a week this got fixed. But the ad wasn’t reset. In less than 2 weeks we were recommended to reduce the price based on a property that sold 2 years ago which was over 1,000 sqf smaller. I was told the agreement was 12 weeks but he had noted 20 weeks and never left me a copy of the agreement. When I gave notice suddenly we had interested parties. I had a toddler and 2 indoor cats and 5,000 sqf to tidy up but he always gave me less than 24hrs notice. Communication was almost like non existence. We would have paid him around 26k yet we had an office number and email to communicate with him. Emails took days office number almost never replied. He was always negative about everything. He then bought on a colleague who was a little more active but still the whole experience was stressful and just dragged. We switched agents and even before the ad went live we had a viewing. Definitely not one I will recommend.

Jenny was especially helpful with all our queries and when showing us around property and extremely kind and easy to talk to, it made viewing properties much less daunting! I would definitely recommend signature sails and lettings to others!!!
