30th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.
9th Jun 2026 (11 weeks ago)We have just sold our property and bought a new home both with Hunter’s at Kendal We have dealt mainly with Ellie who is so very helpful, nothing is too much trouble she is definitely a valuable asset to the company. Having spoken and dealt with other staff members at Kendal I can honestly say that they are a wonderful team. Everything has gone smoothly and we are moving next week, a huge thank you to Hunters.

8th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)I can highly recommend Pattinson Estate Agents for a great local service. We found everyone we spoke to at the Wallsend branch, and auction team, to be friendly and professional - and our valuer Josh Cowey, was especially helpful and knowledgeable.<br>As we live out of the area, we depended on additional services from Pattinsons, such as - getting the EPC arranged, and accompanied viewings. Updates on potential buyer feedback and viewings were provided regularly, and it was useful getting text reminders whenever a viewing was scheduled.<br><br>One note of caution though - we were not happy at all with BridgeView Law (formerly Butterworths), who Pattinson recommended for our conveyancing. We received little-to-no communication from this firm, and our completion date was delayed by almost 3 weeks as a result. We have listed again with Pattinson's on another property but we will not be using BridgeView again.

11th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)I bought my house through Jan Foster Estate Agents over a year ago, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into an absolute nightmare because of the way this company operates and, in particular, because of the behaviour of Ashley, the agent I dealt with. From the very beginning, Ashley was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He spoke to me in a condescending manner, showed no patience, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a client making one of the biggest purchases of my life. Simple questions were met with attitude, poor communication, or no response at all. At times, he was outright disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable in any profession, let alone estate agency. Communication throughout the process was shocking. I was constantly left chasing for updates, clarification, and basic information that should have been provided without me having to beg for it. Deadlines were unclear, things were poorly explained, and I was often left feeling confused and stressed because no one seemed to care enough to do their job properly. Instead of being supported and guided, I felt ignored and brushed aside. Buying a home is supposed to be handled with professionalism, respect, and care. Unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. The stress, anxiety, and frustration I went through could have been avoided if Ashley and Jan Foster Estate Agents had shown even a basic level of courtesy and competence. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Jan Foster Estate Agents to think twice. Based on my experience, they lack professionalism, respect for clients, and proper communication. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. They helped me organise a mortgage advisor and gave me details of solicitors too which was much appreciated with me being a first time buyer and having no idea where to start! Would definitely recommend.
3rd Aug 2026 (21 days ago)While I was happy with everything before listing with Hunters, there was a distinct lack of communication when I needed advice about how to proceed when my house didn’t sell- 20th Jul 2023 (3 years ago)PFK have worked as a close-knit team, able to answer questions, instigate viewings, take pro-active decisions and actions to ensure that they have achieved excellent results. A hardworking team, all ready and able to take away the hassle and stress often associated with house selling. They are all undaunted with the problems of selling our house, actively searching for appropriate buyers and weeding out those who are not relevant, as well as aging the best price. We cannot mark them less than excellent.

What actually cemented my decision to use them is their valuation and property advisor Gemma, who has all the skill and expertise not only to value the property and advise but also the professional attitude needed to put my mind at ease about selling and buying a new property. Gemma took me through the whole platform from beginning to end even though she is not involved with everything. She explained from selling, the use of solicitors to buying and tying up lose ends Gemma is a real asset and exceptional addition to the Farrell & Hayworth team Thank you Gemma
17th Apr 2026 (18 weeks ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.

The whole process of selling our property was managed professionally and courteously and the many set backs suffered (through no fault of themselves) were dealt with efficiently and considerately. I ran into some difficulties with the referencing process, and the team went above and beyond to guide me through every step. They were patient, understanding, and always available to answer my questions, which made a stressful situation much easier to deal with.<br><br>Their professionalism, communication, and genuine willingness to help made all the difference, and thanks to their support I was able to secure my new rental property.
