I would recommend everyone to avoid this ‘letting agency’. At the end of my tenancy, the communication was extremely poor, they did not inform the landlord of key information and threatened me with deductions from my deposit. It took over a month to receive any information about the deposit (despite chasing) and when I finally received a response, the deductions were laughable. A £200 cleaning fee despite the property being in a better state than when I moved in. A charge for late return of keys despite no incoming tenants and the extra days being agreed by the landlord. I questioned this and asked for evidence of cleaning invoices etc; I never got a response. I had to open a dispute with the DPS to get my money back, funnily enough they managed to respond to that. Overall a terrible and hugely stressful experience which I did not appreciate when moving house.... Read more

I am disabled and my mother is elderly. Recently we had to face the fact we needed to move to more suitable accommodation. Our main contact with Manning Stainton was with Lisa. Neither my mother nor I drive but Lisa was kind enough to always come to our house to discuss the progress of our move. In addition, she was always on hand to help us complete all the necessary forms, giving us great peace of mind. Although the move was pretty stressful at times, Lisa and the other members of the team were always positive and encouraging. I cannot recommend this estate agent highly enough.... Read more
