30th Mar 2026 (21 weeks ago)Peter Murray made an illegal will for my uncle, Sir Michael Maxwell Bt, in 2013, who was in the depths of frontal lobe dementia (this was against medical and legal advice). They were the sole executor and sole witness to this will. Micheal had been sectioned and told he could not make a will in England prior to this. They hid a relevant doctor’s letter which was only extracted by lawyers. The firm has refused to admit liability despite overwhelming and unequivocal evidence and caused huge headache a heartache for our family over the past 5 years and huge legal costs. They are unprofessional and to be avoided at all costs. They have also stopped family staying at our family home - Monreith- and prevented my mother’s burial there. It is disgusting. The contents of the will are inconceivable to all family and destroy our family’s 800 year history in Dumfries and Galloway.

22nd May 2024 (2 years ago)I recently sold my property through Wardhaugh, and found the staff to be extremely personable and knowledgeable. The sale encountered some difficulties, however Jen and Roddy were there to offer sound advice and reassurance, which ultimately resulted in a successful conclusion. The photography and marketing service was extremely good, and weekend and out of hours viewings were included in the service. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service provided, and would recommend.

15th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Took my case with roger colledge he then got an advocate from glasgow named susan duff she told me one the day of me giving evidence she was not bringing in my two main wittness another witness was told to keep her answers to a minamal ended up doing 7 years through poor lawyers representing me tried last week speaking to gavin orr to take the case back on for an appeal against the conviction and he point blanked refused would not recommend this firm to anybody please use someone that cares for their clients cause this lot dont

From the very beginning of my home-buying journey right through to collecting the keys, the service I received from Kirsty and her husband Gavin was absolutely exceptional.<br><br>They are both incredibly friendly, professional, fair and attentive. What really stood out to me was how much they genuinely care about both the buyer and the seller. They always made sure everyone was treated fairly, kept things moving smoothly and were there whenever we needed help, advice or reassurance.<br><br>Buying a home can be a stressful experience, but their kindness, communication and attention to detail made the whole process so much easier. They went above and beyond what I would normally expect from an estate agency, and it was clear that they genuinely take pride in what they do.<br><br>One of the nicest touches was when we collected the keys. They had prepared a lovely handwritten card and some chocolates for us. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture, and it really showed that they care about their clients and wanted to make the moment of receiving our new home keys even more special.<br><br>Kirsty and Gavin are not only fantastic professionals but genuinely lovely people. 19th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)Having sold seven houses in the past, I found my experience with Niksen to be underwhelming and somewhat average. Although far from terrible, there where a number of disappointments throughout the process. First off, the quoted prices for the photographer and Home Report turned out to be different. Hardly earth-shattering, but an annoying detail that ended up costing me slightly more than expected. The presentation of images and copy I’d say was average, but not as good as other high-end estate agents that I’ve used previously. When it came to selling, the accompanied viewings are a plus point, but I hadn’t expected a running commentary from the estate agent on who they thought should or should not have the property. Surely that’s for me to decide and not the agent. Very unprofessional I thought. Once I’d accepted the offer I heard next to nothing from Niksen. My solicitor worked extremely hard (for far less money than Niksen’s fee it should be noted) to ensure a smooth sale. Previously, I’ve used agents that provide a weekly update with how the sale progressed, but there was nothing for about six weeks from Niksen. In fairness, when I did contact them, they did investigate and chase up the sale, but I felt I shouldn’t have to chase them up myself. Oddly, a week after the sale had completed, Niksen contacted me to ask how the sale was progressing! I checked with my solicitor and he’d paid them already, so it appears they could do with some better internal coms between accounts and sales. What’s worse, for weeks afterwards they’ve pestered me via email, WhatsApp and phone for feedback. So here it is. Not terrible, but a very average experience.
