23rd Jun 2026 (16 days ago)Horrible experience.<br>Contract signed and deposit and first months rent paid, then on the day they change the contract and refuse to hand over the keys unless I sign the new contract. Made moving in to my new flat an absolute horrible experience (and an illegal one by the way)

He instantly knew what we were looking for and brilliantly navigated a quick connection with the landlords, and made us feel so heard and comfortable throughout the process. Have had a much better experience here than other estate agents in the area - would highly recommend. Thanks Tom - we can't wait to move in! Clare and Emmanuel- 27th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)Be very fearful of this agency. When we moved in, their agent Laura confirmed that du to our daughter suffering from pneumonia and having a serious of respiratory issues, the landlord could deal with the mould in property before we moved in. After we moved in they did not deal with it, and they ignored all of our messages relating it. Upon moving out, at the end of the one year term, they assisted the landlord in ensuring there was enough of a grey area where they could claim that we did not give notice for the end of our tenancy properly. As a result, they took an extra months rent, amounting to £5000, and stayed silent through the process whilst we attempted to take this back. At the end of adjudication the landlord ended up taking it, as they’re clear knew what they were doing and ensuring that they could take this money from a young family, despite us having moved out of the property in time, liaising with them to hand over the keys, and the landlord actually staying in the property and making used to the property after we moved out. I have never dealt with such an agency in my life - they knew the landlord would do this and never found it appropriate that once we moved out, the landlord intended to keep our entire deposit sum.

Sienna and Jacob showed prospective buys around and both were professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. Jacob kept in touch regularly with updates when we had a buyer and was very easy to work with. I appreciate all the work that was put into getting the sale across the line and I would highly recommend Langford Russell if considering putting your property on the market.

2nd Jul 2026 (7 days ago)?????<br><br>We cannot thank Bradford & Howley enough for the outstanding service they provided in selling our parents’ house.<br><br>This has been an incredibly emotional and difficult time for our family. Both of our parents had to move into residential care, and sadly they both passed away before the sale was completed, meaning the property also had to go through probate.<br><br>From the outset, Bradford & Howley gave us excellent advice and guidance, helping us make informed decisions at every stage. They marketed the property quickly, managed all the viewings professionally, kept my sister and me fully informed throughout the process, and ultimately achieved the right price for the house.<br><br>There were several issues with the chain along the way, and it unfortunately collapsed twice through no fault of the agents. Despite these setbacks, Sarah and Liam remained positive, proactive and determined, working tirelessly to keep everything on track. Thanks to their persistence and dedication, we finally completed today.<br><br>A special thank you to Sarah and Liam for truly going the extra mile. Their professionalism, honesty and support made a very difficult time much easier to deal with.<br><br>We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bradford & Howley. If you’re looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy and caring local estate agents in Harpenden, they are an excellent choice.
12th Jun 2026 (27 days ago)I used Chancellors recently as a buyer. Good experience. Staff were helpful and accommodating (mainly dealt with Sat). Also didn't get signed up for loads of property spam from other branches in areas I'm not looking (unlike some other agents!)

If you are looking for an agent who is independant and knowledgable about St Albans then you cannot do better than them.
