16th Oct 2025 (22 weeks ago)Our tenancy was years ago, but I came across some old correspondence and realised I should leave a warning for others. Renting through Apple Estates was a nightmare. Key issues included: Being deliberately misled that a bathroom was ours when it belonged to the shop next door. The shopkeeper letting strangers into our home daily to use the facilities, resulting in a complete loss of privacy and security. The property being dangerously unsafe, including shutters that would lock us in without another fire exit. Critical repairs being ignored for weeks. Would very, very strongly advise against using this agency.

Ameet, always kept us well informed and answered all our queries. Throughout the whole process he was always available to calm our fears and answer all questions. I was extremely pleased with the support Helen provided me with the sale of my bungalow and she gave me good advice throughout the process. She was calm, determined and professional. Helen organised the staging and photography of the property to maximise all its potential. The property had many viewings and Helen followed up all viewings to ensure everyone had appreciated its unique features. I was kept fully informed of feedback from buyers. Despite my chain failing twice she remained supportive and encouraging. Even when Helen went on holiday she kept in touch with me making sure l was always fully informed on how things were proceeding. She liaised with the other estate agents to ensure good progress was made by all parties. In the final weeks she kept me calm and reassured. I have no hesitation in recommending Elite Homes.

3rd Nov 2025 (20 weeks ago)I am compelled to write this having just moved out of a property. Some of Johns and Co's practices are not only underhanded but illegal. They will try to take money out of your deposit for 'final bills' (eg. electrictiy), despite us having settled these ourselves. We lived in a property that started with a broken dishwasher (they were already aware of this prior to moving in) and a broken airconditioning unit which they did not fix in our entire tenancy. The bathroom was so poorly maintained that during the first week of us moving in the bathroom pipes leaked into the below neighbour's flat. The shower also continued leaking on to the bathroom floor every time it was used because of failure by the landlord and John's and Co to maintain the property. Additionally, we booked a move out cleaning to be done as we have a dog (which we paid additional monthly pet fees for) and we used their desired contractor. For a 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom flat to vacuum some dog hair they charged nearly £800 (it is a 500sq flat) and tried to claim that the upholstery was in a bad state. We had covers on all upholstery for our entire stay there. This upholstery was severely stained and marked when we moved in due to lack of cleaning and maintenance done by the landlord/ John's and Co. Do not rent through them if they are also managing the property and move out process.
10th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)The best agency anyone could work with in London! I have been with Castlereagh Properties for the past two years and all I can say was perfect service. All the agents, especially Louise, are always on alert if you need anything as a tenant. They have helped me with the move in and move out documents and all the account openings I need to have. Additionally, the agency always supports any maintenance required within the apartment. Truly amazing service, they made my two years in London unforgettable and super comfortable!!

16th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Private Landlords – Pay attention. I have recently been unfortunate to have been a customer of Varosi Lettings as a landlord. I wish I read the reviews beforehand. I took a 2-year contract out with them to look after my property and pay rent for doing so. I had a few issues to say the least with regards to the clients they decided to house in my property. Regardless of any of these issues I was within my rights to request my keys back at the end of the 2-year contract. Within their contract it is stated they need 3 months, to the date, of the end of contract worth of notice. Not only did I email and receive confirmation by the owner Vasilis Mavrou, I also sent a Royal Mail tracked and signed letter which I also have the proof of receipt. Regardless of this information they were adamant that they did not accept the letter or email (to which they were not clear why it was not accepted). 2 days before the hand back date I spoke with Vasilis and he indicated there was absolutely no way I was getting my keys back within the contracted date agreed. I feel his ego was bruised as I wanted my keys back (again within contracted rights). As you can imagine I was very upset and confused. I spoke to my solicitor who proceeded to handle this for us. He also received vague emails from Vasilis himself regarding the contract that they may, or may not have with the local authorities and/or the client. 6 weeks later and a lot of stress and upset later, I finally received my keys back. The property was left in a state, filthy and still needed furniture to be removed. I accept wear and tear, but damage and uncleanliness is not acceptable. After speaking with Mario Neocleous, I also got confirmation a professional cleaning company had been in before the hand back. As you can see from the pictures taken, this is not the case. I am not sure why, as an agent they could not uphold the contract on their end and therefore have cost me as their customer not only a financial loss for solicitors and other expenses but also stress and a disregard for my rights as a landlord. Absolutely unprofessional and a rude organisation. Vasilis is not only rude and patronizing, but he feels a sense of authority as a high member of the Greek Cypriot community. A big shame, we call ourselves a hospitable and kind race. I feel this is lost with Varosi Lettings. I wonder how they would feel if they were treated with this manor. Mario, Petros, Hassan, Sandra and of course the main man Vasilis is who I dealt with over the 2 plus year period.
1st Dec 2021 (4 years ago)I had a great experience with AZ Real Estate (especially with a real estate agent Darya), who helped me buy my first home in London. It was my first experience in this area; therefore, I had a lot of questions. Darya from AZ Real Estate was with me from the beginning to the end when I received my keys. She was extremely helpful and always answered my calls/messages within minutes which made the whole process less stressful. Due to some problems on the seller's side the final step was delayed; however, Darya did everything to speed up the process. I would certainly recommend AZ Real Estate if you are looking to buy a new property.

23rd Sep 2025 (5 mo. ago)We are writing to share our deeply disappointing experience while interacting with someone in this agency egarding the property in Northfields/Ealing. ( I do not want to give the name of the agent but internal people will know) As first-time buyers, the process of purchasing a home is already quite daunting. We were hoping for a professional who could guide us, or at the very least, treat us with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. From the outset, communication was extremely difficult. Our emails were ignored altogether. This lack of responsiveness was incredibly frustrating and made us feel like our interest was not valued. Furthermore, when we did manage to communicate, this agent's attitude was consistently dismissive and snobbish. Before even discussing our financial position, we were met with comments implying the property was "not for us" and condescending questions like, "Well, do you even have a budget for this?" This behaviour was not only unprofessional but also deeply insulting. We felt pre-judged and belittled simply for wanting to view a property. We found a property we wanted and purchased it via another estate agent but want to address this now to ensure future clients, especially first-time buyers, receive the professional and respectful service they deserve.
