We recently bought our home through Beresfords, and honestly, we can’t thank them enough. As buyers, we weren’t even their direct clients, but Kimberley, Farran and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything moved forward.
Right from the beginning, they were proactive, super communicative, and just really on top of everything. They kept us in the loop at every stage, from chasing solicitors, coordinating with the seller, giving us honest advice, and generally keeping things moving when it felt like everything else was slowing down. They were always one step ahead, chasing things and updating us before we even had to ask. We had a strict deadline when we had to complete by, and they were able to help us achieve that. Whenever any issue popped up, they handled it calmly, and reassured us, which made a stressful process so much more manageable. This kind of support is rare, and it made all the difference.

Me and my sister would like to say a massive thank you to Hannah Grant (Branch Coordinator, Residential Lettings), who recovered a final rent payment which was due to us. The tenant was refusing to pay!!! Hannah had to deal with a rude tenant that was clearly in the wrong. Although the tenant did eventually apologise and agreed to pay the rent, we are sorry that Hannah had to go through this and appreciate everything she did to get the matter resolved. We opted to use Beresfords Harold Wood due to Chris's enthusiasm and passion, and a competitive fee. Beresfords worked hard on our behalf, and when our original purchaser's pulled out at the 11th hour, Kimberley and Farran rolled up their sleeves and soon found us another buyer. They made us feel like we were their only clients, and we were particularly impressed with Farran, knowing that we were starting to get rather anxious due to the aborted sale, she constantly updated us with information and reassurance, and promptly answered any queries that we had. Beresford in Harold wood are a great estate agent in the local area, as proven by their online statistics. This team market lots of properties in Harold wood , achieving quick sales and the closest in reaching the right asking price of the properties, commission was reasonable at 1%.
The Branch manager, Kimberley understood my needs in trying to find the right buyer for my late father's home. Her team treated the house as their own home. Farran (superstar) in particular, cleaned the kitchen floor if it became dirty after viewings. Farran provided me with regular feedback from each visit. The office provided a steady supply of people to view the house over a 3 month period.
The fact that the office was local enabled us to drop in & discuss progress on a regular basis too. Kimberley was excellent in managing the administration of the house sale through the solicitors to completion.

I met up with Chris from Beresfords Harold Wood office which is located close to the station after arranging an appointment through the office. I received a confirmation call in the morning and again when Chris was in his way. I am thinking of marketing and wanted an overview of the market and a valuation of my property which has some unusual characteristics.
First of all Chris explained his background in the industry and his relevant experience in the market in the area my property is located which immediately gave me confidence.
Chris came with a folder packed with information tailored specifically for my property with an overview of the market and recent property transactions together with recent comparables that match the characteristics of my property within a relevant search area.
He was careful to listen to the information I gave him and asked all he pertinent questions that would be relevant to a prospective buyer.
Chris outlined the services offered by Beresfords and the benefits of their multi branch agency, and they explained the marketing strategy that he thought would attract the highest price.
He was able to give me a guide figure based on his research but asked that I gave him the opportunity to confer with his colleagues in the office and neighbouring branches where he thought possible buyers would come from.
He made the promised follow up call to confirm his thoughts within 24 hours and advised that written confirmation would be sent out by the end of the day.
I am still yet to decide on if and when I will market, but based on the shallow and unconvincing pitches I have had from other estate agents in the past I am fairly certain if I do come to the market I will speak with Chris first.

We decided to use Beresfords after getting a couple of valuations, as they seemed to have the best knowledge of the local area, and really put forward a strong case as they held the market share of sales in the area. The valuation exceeded our expectation and after we saw the presentation and comparisons from Chris Clarke in the Harold Wood office we knew that what he was proposing could be achieved.
Once we decided to go with them the process was very quick, once all was confirmed they arranged photos, drafted up the advert, and listed all within a week. We had a lot of interested buyers booking viewings instantly, and within 2 weekends they sold it.
All through the process we have been treated kindly with regular updates and advice whenever needed, it’s fair to say they know their stuff.
When things got a little hairy Chris and Daniel helped by chasing things up and searching for answers well up the chain trying to get a solution in place that was agreeable to all… it’s been a long road but Chris and Daniel really helped us to keep going… the result? Today we managed to exchange on our sale and purchase!
We would recommend using Beresfords Harold Wood to all and we would use them again in future.

Having been with Purple Bricks for 10 plus months, who were completely a waste of time, I signed with Beresfords who undertook accreditation with prospective purchasers prior to accepting appointments and within weeks I had sold knowing that all checks had been made so, unlike PB who did nothing to this extent, a very stressful year with PB had come to an end. The staff were proactive, understanding and kept me informed of all the steps prior to the house coming off the market. We put our house up for sale in Aug 2020 with Bairstow Eves, we had lots of people view the house but very little feedback. We didn’t like the photos they had taken and didnt like their manner. Hi All to who would be buying a property please keep your eyes and ears open !! BERESFORD'S are really good in providing and dealing for property but please avoid Harold wood branch where 2 persons mr Clarke and mr Danielle are unprofessional rude and to my knowledge CHEATED for a house deal .
Proper process not followed and on top of that manipulated things and when asked were very rude and adamant and tried to cover each other ....I recommend Beresfords as a quality brand and the Director is a gem of a person but be alert about Harold wood branch ...had one of the worst and nightmare with them!!
