I invited three different estate agents to value my property in Headington, all reputable companies.
Andrew Topping arrived well-prepared with valuation reports and supporting documentation. He began the appointment by thoroughly assessing the property and took the time to explain the data, offering insights based on current market conditions and his professional experience. However he gave me an un-realistic listing price that was higher than any valuation I received. He also advised that I needed to make improvements/re-decorate for the listing.
He quoted his fees (non-negotiable) with arrogance which was a lot higher than other agents. Ultimately, I chose to proceed with another agency that felt more grounded and aligned with my expectations.

As first time buyers our mortgage advisor Jack Ballard was exceptional. He guided us through every little details of the process and made sure we understood. Secured us with the best mortgage offer available at the time. Even after the mortgage was agreed Jack kept track of it and when the mortgage rates dropped he rearranged the mortgage for a lower rate, amazing work by him.
He also told us about the pros and cons of the property, he helped us to understand the value of the property and to get the best deal secured.

Having used Connells in Cowley previously, I chose to use the Headington Branch of Connells for the sale of a flat. I started the process with Zara who is lovely. Julian then took over with regards viewings which was great. However, I felt I wasn’t really getting any ‘bites’ shall we say so, I decided that I would give it 2 more weeks and then I would take it off the market. The interesting thing having made this decision was once I advised Connells of this, they then had 3 viewings for one day!! So, having decided I may not go ahead, we then had 3 viewings of which one of those put in an offer which I was pleased with. Having accepted the offer, I made a point of asking Connells to please, do NOT to put up a ‘Sold’ sign until I had spoken with the person living in the flat as I wanted to show her the courtesy of advising that an offer had been made and I had accepted it. I had this conversation with Connells on the Wednesday. I called around to see the tenant on the Saturday of that same week only to find a ‘Sold’ board had been put up. I have to say I was really annoyed, even more so considering I had provided strict instructions to them to not put the board up. Obviously the person living in the flat was understandably not impressed so, Connells did let me down there. Also, having been emailed through the Sales Agreement information, my Solicitor information was incorrect even though I had advised who I would be using!!
As previously mentioned, I have used Connells for various Sales and on the whole, they’re fine but unfortunately, I have never received the whole amount or even ‘over’ for the sale of any of the properties sold which is a bit disappointing. However, on the whole, the process was quite straightforward which is always a bonus.

We visited the Connells office in Headington while looking for a house to purchase in Oxford. They were very prompt and accurate (Razia) with their responses to our viewing requests and also provided us mortgage advice (Jack Ballard) to help quicken our purchase process.
As it happened, we are currently proceeding with a property marketed by another agent, but we have stuck with Jack for our mortgage advice. As first time buyers, having Jack with us for advice on properties, market rates and mortgages, was a major support. He was available to take our calls and respond to our queries and that allowed us to take some quick decisions. We also decided to avail the other services from Connells including conveyancing and so far it has been a nice experience having the entire process under one roof in a single portal to upload documents and keep track of developments. Looking forward to closing our current purchase and hopefully more in the future.

SLUGS, mould, no deep cleaning. That's what we complained about at our arrival on the property.
It is disgusting, it's unhealthy, this is not what we are paying for.
This is supposed to be a house for a family with SMALL CHILDREN. It's been A MONTH we started reporting these issues! No action has been taken, despite us complying with every request for proof, visits, emails, reporting.
The lack of professionalism, simple human decency and bare management is more than appalling, it's criminal. Connells has been made aware of the situation, the house is uninhabitable and our health is affected by it and yet nothing has happened. This company is a disaster.

I have to edit my previous review, since I have been waiting for a reply from
the agent Martella for ages after viewing the flat, only to find out a few days later that the landlord decided to cancel, and Martella didn't give me any notice of that. As a result I missed on another great rental opportunity. Even though I experienced a lovely attitude and outlook at first, I was eventually abandoned. Unhappy. Went to Chancellors instead - great service from them!

a branch that did not do everything in their power to help me sell my house they had on the market for 4 months. They overpriced my house simply because that is what i wanted to hear and charge you extra for professional photos and proper floorplans. I would not sell my house with them if i were you. I sadly lost 4 valuable months!!!

As landlords, we were experiencing poor service by another estate agent in the area and so we asked Connells to take over the management of our property. The property was marketed immediately and, within a week, Chris had undertaken a number of viewings and secured a tenant for the property. Excellent service!

My main contact at Connells in Headington was Nick Ingrem, ably supported by his boss Omar Nawaz. I spotted a property I was interested in and Nick agreed to meet me there. I liked the property and explained to Nick that was interested and keen to move very quickly. Less than five weeks later I owned the house!
Throughout the process Nick, Omar and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Everyone at Connell's was positive, friendly and supportive and helped make the whole transaction go smoothly. I rarely make recommendations of this nature, but I can wholeheartedly recommend the Connells team at Headington.

After having mixed experience with different letting agencies I can highly recommend Connells Lettings – Headington Branch! Very professional and friendly staff. Steve, who was our lettings negotiator was always very helpful and enthusiastic and done everything what he could to make us and Landlord happy. Every little query has been answered and dealt with without any problems.
I highly appreciate the fact that we were kept informed during each step of the process, updated regularly and very efficiently.
Chris and Steve are great team and provide fantastic service.
I thought I would never be able to say it after my previous experience, but I am pleasantly surprise with this branch!

I’ve been delighted with the sheer speed at which the Connells Headington Lettings team of Chris and Steve were able to source quality tenants. The property had been advertised for over two months with the previous agency without success. After switching to Connells a let was agreed within 2 days of the property being advertised and at all stages I was kept up to date with the tenants application and vetting process which was very thorough.
They are also very quick and adaptable at responding to requests from both the tenants and myself. This, for me, is the most crucial part of being an agency and is the difference between keeping tenants happy that will stay and unhappy tenants that will leave if ignored and problem not addressed.
Living away from the area in which the property is rented means it’s crucial I have a good agency that can handle things on my behalf and act quickly and professionally and the Connells Lettings team at Headington do not disappoint in this area!
