I can’t thank jack & his team (Abby & Harrison) at Rayleigh branch for coming in & taking over the process of selling our house, they have all been very prompt with all correspondence whether it be arranging viewings, following up appointments or issuing offer letters. We are now in the process of accepting the right offer to our need with the help of all the team so we are able to proceed with the purchase of our dream property which is also through Connells so the process is so smooth as the team are all working together for our sale & purchase.

Fairly disgusted with our treatment by Rayleigh Connells. We mainly had Oliver dealing with our sale and lost two buyers due to lies he told our buyers. One being we may complete prior to the stamp duty changed in April, despite knowing we were buying a new build due to complete on 29th August. I only discovered the lies when I reached out and found my prospective buyers on a social media platform and engaged with them myself. The company has concluded their own complaints procedure and apparently it’s all above board. I wasn’t at all surprised when I saw this firm on Panorama unfortunately. Disgraceful.

Andrew from the letting team has been unbearable to work with. It’s been impossible to get in contact with him and when I finally track him down he is rude and not accommodating. I’m a young woman and find him quite condescending, and had to tell him multiple times that I can comprehend what he’s saying without repeating himself over and over. As a homeowner I would never use him to lease my property.

We were selling the property on behalf of our elderly parents. Notwithstanding people’s pessimism and cynicism about estate agents the company and the individuals concerned with the sale, simply could not have provided a more empathetic and supportive service.
The service they provided bore little correlation to the sale fee as this was a complicated but not high value transaction.
They simply could not have done anymore and both Oliver and Mariana were fantastic.
We would have no hesitation in using this company again.

From when we put our mums bungalow on in September 2022 the staff at Connells they all worked hard to sell it for us especially Oliver Carter who worked tireselly himself trying to sell it.
The Rayleigh branch members showed all the potential buyers round and gave myself and my sister prompt feedback.
Oliver was also brilliant helping us out with our solicitors whenever there was an issue.
We would definitely recommend Connells if anyone asks us.

I recently received a valuation from Connells for a retirement flat in Rayleigh. From speaking with the first point of contact to the estate agent's valuation, I found them to be very professional, and the valuation was fair. They also offer a professional photographer, so the pictures of your property will be really good. My main concern with all of the agents I dealt with is their percentage based fees. They either work on a fixed percentage, which increases with the value of the property, or a set fixed fee. That sounds fine, but if you're timid and not keen on negotiating, you'll find you're paying way more than you need to. The difference could be thousands of pounds and I'd much prefer them just to give the best deal available and not for me to have to haggle. Moving home is an extremely stressful time without this being thrown into the mix. I hope this is helpful.

I've found the process with other agents so stressful and always chasing. But Lewis made my whole experience stress free and easy. Explained each step and kept me up to date as much as humanly possible.
If I could give more stars I would honestly do not hesitate to sell or buy with Connells and please ask for Lewis you won't regret it.

If you can, ask to work with Bernice! She was my absolute rock throughout the entire process when it came to finding my tenants. Following previous experiences with other estate agents that proved to be disappointing, Bernice was truly a breath of fresh air. I not only felt like I had a true professional in my corner at every stage, but also a friend. She made what can be a very stressful time/process, seamless and stress-free. Bernice was kind, genuine, honest, super responsive, attentive to details, chased down any outstanding issues and had no agenda other than making sure I was happy. She will go that extra mile to ensure you’re taken care of and I couldn’t recommend her more, or thank her enough.

I must say we (both Gill and myself) thought the whole service from start to finish has been exceptional- in particular Susan Willis has been fantastic, she was so informative, honest and extremely helpful in answering all our questions - Other staff have also been extremely helpful, but Sue made the whole experience seem less.

I found the team at Connell’s Rayleigh totally professional in all aspects of selling our property. Always rang us back when they said they would and kept us up to date with what was going on. We didn’t have the smoothest of sales, nothing to do with Connell’s, but Chris and the team helped to take the stress away from us.

Turned up for viewing which meant finishing work early but agent never turned up. Called the office twice to query where they were, was promised a call back that never happened. Was advised the flat the was furnished on the advert, but upon calling was told the photos were previous tenants items.

Completely failed to deliver any of the promised tasks agreed when we signed up. Repeatedly ignored emails and queries. No explanation for lack of action or bad service. Manager agreed they'd given us poor service. The only person to try and help us was Becky. If you have any sense at all, avoid this estate agents like the plague. Absolute waste of time and money.

ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY.. TOOK £570 OFF ME AS A "HOLDING FEE" TO SUCURE THE PROPERTY ONLY TO BE TOLD THREE DAYS LATER THAT IT HAS BEEN LET TO SOMEBODY ELSE..
