Connells helped me sell a property left to me by my mother in Braintree that had, over time, been neglected and even burgled on three occasions. As I reside in the US, I was not able to maintain the upkeep of the property or supervise the sale. However, I was able to find a very competent and professional partner in Connells, of which I am extremely grateful. They oversaw and managed every aspect of the sale, including securing the property, which by that point was being used by squatters. They were also involved in the clearance of the home, the evaluation of the property, and they recommended their conveyancing partners to close the sale. The home was a leasehold property, whereby Connells also worked closely with the leasing company, which spared me all the complexities of satisfying their demands involved in closing the transaction. The overall management of the sale was entirely managed by Ms. Bryony Collett, who made this very complex sale possible, which meant I was able to rely entirely on Connells from my home in the US. I honestly do not believe I would have received anything like the personal and professional administration of this sale from any other Estate Agency.

I don't even know where to begin the services provided by CONNELLS were so exceptional!
We booked meetings with 3 estate agents to see which one we felt most suitable for our needs. Bryony from Connells - super star! The other two? One canceled last minute, the other had a package for us to read, didn't sell himself or his company at all and looked like he'd prefer to be watching paint dry than be talking to us. Bryony on the otherhand arrived full of energy, with a friendly and open disposition; she was fully prepared with information that she went through with us, encouraging questions; she showed us details of what was and wasn't selling in our area and provided insights in to possible reasons as to why. Bryony told us specifically what she would be doing and gave us ideas as to how we could help expedite the sale. Bryony and other members of the team contacted us regularly with updates and where we were in the process and happy to say, house sold in a little under 5 weeks! Further to our sale, she and her colleague went way above the call of duty in dealing with our purchase of another place, which for reasons out of our control was with another estate agent. Not to say the people from that company weren't lovely people but Connells staff kept up on the follow up with solictors etc. on our behalf because the other company was very, very slow and often forgot to do things or couldn't find answers to our questions. I really could go on but suffice to say, if you want to buy or sell, list with CONNELLS, they work with you, they're quick and efficient and absolutely lovely, professional and hard working people! Bryony and team at Connells we can't thank you enough!!!

We couldn’t have done this process without Bryony! She was amazing from the very start to the very end. We had a bit of a longer process than others but Bryony was always on hand to help out with anything and everything. Any questions we had, she answered, any chasing we asked her to do, she did, any issues we had, she had them resolved asap! She always made sure we never had any doubts and if we ever did, she reassured us. Nearing the end of the process we were hoping to exchange on a certain date and even whilst she was busy with other things, she made sure to follow up with the right people and got us our exchange on the date we wanted! This review is for Nick Cownden, mortgage advisor, based at Braintree Connells. I have used Nicks services twice now across a couple of years. He is excellent at his job; conscientious, communicative, knowledgable, calming in times of stress, passionate about his job and generally a really nice person. Nick goes above and beyond his duty and truly cares about his clients and their entire house buying journey, not just the mortgage aspect. Nick takes care of finding you a conveyancer, communicating with conveyancers, insurance arrangements, will processes, organising surveys (if this is something you want him to do) and keeping estate agents happy and updated. If you want someone to be present and assist you through the entire process of buying a house, from viewings to completion (and all the dramas in between) then Nick is the advisor you need. He is a real asset to Braintree at Connells and the only person I recommend for anyone looking to move/join the property ladder. 5 stars!

I moved a couple of months ago and used Nick as my mortgage advisor. It was a long difficult process with 2 houses falling through but third time lucky. It meant securing 2 mortgage offers over the course of a year as they only last 6 months and also transferring the offer over everytime I found a new house. It went down to the wire and moved on the day my second offer was due to expire. I can’t thank Nick enough for his help and helping to make sure it was all sorted by the expiry date. My first time using an Estate Agent. I decided on Connells, and I made a great choice. All the staff I spoke to in person or on the phone was friendly and helpful. I am using Connell's for the sale of my house and my mortgage. Their service has been amazing, Bryony, who is selling my flat sold it before it even went onto the market. Within three days it was sold at asking price, which gave me a nice profit on the property. She also gave me a lot of advice as it is the first time I am selling a property and has been supporting me through every step of the sale. She even told me about other properties I might like that are on the market and should ask to view. Nick and Anne-Marie have also given me lots of advice and help with my sale, property search and mortgage and all of them send me emails and reminders of any appointments I have booked. They have put leaflets through doors of the area I am interested in and are doing everything they can to help me find the best property for me.

After visiting the branch earlier today, I cannot recommend Connells in Braintree highly enough! Arron, Rachael and Callum are a fantastic team, professional, friendly and extremely helpful! I would not consider going to any other estate agent - they are first class!
