Buying our first home was exciting but definitely stressful at times, especially because there were some annoying delays on the seller’s side with the paperwork. Through all of that, Phil was an absolute star.
What I really appreciated about Phil was how responsive he was. Whether it was an email or a phone call, he always got back to us quickly and kept us updated without us having to chase. If we asked for something, he made sure to follow up by the time he promised. That level of communication really helped ease the stress for us.

I cannot express how wonderful the team at Country Properties, Flitwick, have been. It was a very anxious stressful, long and drawn out house sell and purchase (mainly caused by a very obstinate and controlling solicitor at the start of the chain, who is clearly in the wrong job!) However the delightful team at CP did their utmost to move things along, were the most helpful souls when i needed them, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make things happen. We laughed and we cried. I am now happily in my new home thanks to Duane, Phil, Steve, Christine, Sue, Cath and the fabulous Jackie, plus all the others who I'm sure helped in some way for me. We had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience renting through Country Properties. The house we rented was in an unacceptable condition – it was full of mould, which posed serious health concerns and made living there deeply unpleasant. Despite raising these issues, no real help or support was offered. We spent a significant amount of our own money trying to make the place liveable, which should never have been necessary in a properly maintained rental property.
What made the situation worse was the attitude of some of the staff. We were met with condescension and rudeness when we sought assistance. We eventually refused to deal with certain individuals due to their dismissive and unhelpful manner.
This experience has left us deeply disappointed with how little regard was shown for our wellbeing as tenants. We would not recommend renting through Country Properties based on how we were treated.

My move day was awful, full of complications and stress, but they kept me calm and helped solve a big problem for me .

We were with another estate agent for a few months with no sale and then moved to Country Properties. Within weeks, our house was sold!
They kept us up to date with everything and always picked up the phone when we had questions.
As we moved back to Leicester before the sale completed, they made sure the house was okay by doing regular check ups (especially with the recent rainfall in Flitwick!) and making sure the house was fine for everyone’s pieces of mind.

This is the second time Phil from Country Properties has been involved in the conveyancing of my property. Last time he acted for the vendor and this time for me as the selling agent.
On both occasions, Phil has been the estate agent in the chain working tirelessly to keep the chain together and bring us to completion through difficult circumstances when solicitors have been slow to react and communication has been trying.
Phil keeps in close contact so that you know what's happening up and down the chain. He also offers words of kindness and support when the going gets tough. House selling/buying can be such an emotional time.

I’ve never been a fan of estate agents. In the past when I’ve used them they seem to provide a fairly cold service where you can’t help but think the only winner is them. When selling our rental property recently we initially tried Purple Bricks but they provided a terrible service, missing potential appointments and little communication. We then turned to Country Properties, Flitwick, and I must say, they have impressed me no end. They seem an established, friendly team with good local knowledge so were able to advise, guide and sometime prod us through to a successful completion, with a sale price that exceeded our expectations, rare in this current climate. I always think it’s easy to write a good review when things go well. However, I believe it’s more meaningful and informative when things don’t go quite as well. Our transaction took 8 months to complete, so I feel well qualified to write this review. In short, Country Properties, Flitwick have surpassed even the highest standards and proved themselves to be a class leading estate agency. While our transaction threw up some surprising issues, Country Properties supported us at every step. They not only went beyond expectations to keep our purchase transaction together, but also kept our buyers informed at regular intervals to ensure the chain remained strong. Their experience in the local area doesn’t stop with property knowledge; they are also able to propose a choice of other specialist firms to work with from financing, conveyancing, surveyors and removals. Each of the firms we selected were excellent. To summarise, although the thought of our 8 month transaction may sound horrific, I honestly did not feel stressed at any stage - that is the level of trust and confidence we had in Duane and his team.

Shame as our experience was not as positive as other reviews on here. Purchased a house recently through them. Would probably sell through them, but not buy! Due to Covid we had various problems with our mortgage company and the process was a lot slower than normal, mostly as they are working fro. Home. We felt pressured by Country Properties with constant phone calls and requests for updates every step of the way (they did disclose to us that the property we have purchased, the vendor was a family member of a employee at Country Properties) , or if it is their normal practice. I have never experienced this with previous estate agents.
A bit of advice, without prejudice to Country properties, make sure you have a survey that is not desktop. We have a leaking garage roof which is in need of total replacement. So buyer be aware!
As I said I would sell through them as they get the job done.... but not buy.
