We were the buyers of the property but despite this we received an excellent service from the team at the Belper office. Every question and query we had was answered quickly and competently and promises of call backs were kept. They were great.
Upon completion we encountered problems with the state of the property. Furthermore, the vendor was not cooperative but thanks to Georgia and her skill at mediating we got a positive outcome. We cannot thank Georgia enough for getting what was an extremely stressful situation resolved for us quickly and with a friendly touch ??

We’ve been on our new home for about 3 weeks now, and we’re starting to get back to our normal routine after the disruption of the move.
So I think its time reflect on our experience of buying and the selling a house
in 2025, as the last time we brought a house was in 1978!
The estate agent we chose to sell our house was Derbyshire Properties Belper branch( D.B.) and we also finished up buying our new home by them as well.
We put our house up for sale with D.B in Early Feb of this year and within a week D.B.
had gave us a valuation, took photos of the property and produced such an impressive sales listing of our property that we were seriously beginning to wonder why we are selling the house in the first place!
But No our old cottage and it’s large terraced garden was getting just too much for us to cope with being as my wife and l are
now both retired.
D.P.posted the listing on 12th of Feb on
the RightMove website. In the first week, we had three viewings resulting in three offers, two of which offered to increase their offer to our asking price. One of which we accepted. And the ‘ For Sale’ board had not even put up
yet.
lt was a whirl-wind experience. We’d sold our house and had not even started to look a replacement yet,
To the rescue came D.P. After giving them our budget and preferences, they came up with at least 5 or more possible properties in as many days, for us to consider.
We finished up buying one of their suggestions in the end. With D.B.’s skilled negotiators actually negotiating a whopping 10% discount off the asking price of the property. This facilitating the prospect of
buying our new home and financing all the moving costs, solicitors fees, stamp duty and
estate agents fees etc. all covered by just the sale of our old home.
We can thoroughly recommend the services, of Derbyshire Properties Belper branch and wish to say a heart felt thank you
to branch manager Gemma, And her teem Matt, Georgia and Sarah for their help, expert advice, ‘can do’ attitude, and going that extra mile for their clients, and for just being available to give ‘there and then’ help and advise when needed. Thank you.

Terrible experience with this company. Poor knowledge of the situation and terrible communication skills. They actually asked "Why do you need a second viewing? Can't you just sign?" This is shocking and unethical.
Georgia should not be in a role where she deals with the general public as she is that rude.
Avoid and go to other estate agents.Plenty on the same road.

Very poor example of invasive social media, DEMANDING you agree to cookies to access their site. I was going to consider them for selling my property but no longer! Go to another service provider that allows you to opt out of using cookies.....

Just completed our house purchase, then sale of our old property shortly afterwards, with Derbyshire Properties. Very professional, friendly and attentive service right from our first viewing of our new property (with Jason), placing our old house on the market (Matt) and the regular follow-up from Amy and Georgia in the Belper office to make sure everything was completed.
The marketing materials (house description / photos, etc) were very well done.

Rented my first property through Derbyshire Properties a couple of years ago, everything went fairly smoothly on moving me in, when it came to me leaving they sent me a letter letting me know when to give the keys back and told the landlords a different date, which meant I had a rather unhappy message from my landlords claiming I had not given my keys back by the date I should. In the months following me moving out they sent me e-mails meant for another customer about selling their house regarding their floor plans, and sent me messages asking me to call them back, again not meant for myself. My deposit was returned in a timely manner, and was only deducted money to have the oven cleaned.
