I used Simpson & Weekly when buying my house in Wellingborough and had a great experience. Chris was the main agent I dealt with and was professional, approachable, and very supportive throughout the entire process. Communication was clear and consistent, and Chris was always willing to help and keep things moving.
There were some issues leading up to and after completion, which were outside the agent’s control. However, Chris went above and beyond to help resolve these problems, offering advice and assistance even after the sale had completed, which I really appreciated.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service provided by Simpson & Weekly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, especially if you’re lucky enough to deal with Chris.

Mel from Simpson and Weekly Wellingborough agreed my purchase. The negotiation between the seller and I was difficult due to his minimum sale price and my maximum budget. Mel was considerate and worked with us to find the right middle ground. Then due to significant delays with my buyer, Mel stepped in to push up and down the chain to get process moving. This was especially the case when trying to exchange and complete on the same day. Mel was constantly driving the process forward. There was so much at risk in our chain with job changes, relocations and date restrictions, that the chain was close to falling apart several times. Out of everyone, it was Mel finding ways to hold it together and push it through. I can’t express my gratitude for her many interventions and excellent communication throughout. We couldn’t have done it without her and we are incredibly grateful to now say we’re in our new home before Christmas. Thank you to Mel and her team for a job thoroughly well done.

We were dropped by our previous agent when our buyer pulled out on exchange day and decided to reach out to S&W. An incredibly frustrating and time-wasting experience. We dealt with nearly six months of back-and-forth calls and emails, only to have the completion date postponed three times.
After repeatedly pushing for a final viewing, we discovered the house had been flooded - something no one at the agency seemed aware of or took responsibility for. Fast-forward three more months, and we're stuck in a new buying process with them being at the end off the chain. Again no real progress.
Twice we were given estimated completion dates, both conveniently falling on weekends - and both came and went without any update or clarity.
At this point, we're left confused and in the dark. It feels like whenever something goes wrong, somehow this agency is always in the middle of it.
Whether it's their direct fault or not, they seem to consistently delay or mishandle the process. We've made a firm decision: never again with this agency.
Hopefully this review helps and creates some awareness for new costumes.

It was a pleasure of receiving their service from 1st phone call! Viewing arranged promptly effortlessly, arranged to suit me. Assistance provided on exceptional level. Chris went above and beyond to answer all queries including those not even raised (considering me being a first time buyer) during my 1st vieweing and I have to mention that the vieweing prelonged past his regular working hours and we finished viewieng once all queries been satisfied. I was offered a help with anything regarding the process of buying a home by saying anything not limited to matters related to an estate agent interest only. I've managed to go through the process smoothly but really appreciated assistance offered. I had no issues to arrange 2nd viewing through Chris from Simpson & Weekley to which I brought electricians and we spend few hours surveying home. Every now and then I've been receiving phone call from Chris to check if any assistance is needed and with updates related to process of my purchase. Very friendly and helpful individual. Credit where credit is due! this is my chance to document the exceptionally high standards I have been lucky enough to encounter at Simpson and Weekly in Wellingborough! I first met Chris Caley in September 2023 to view a property I was interested in buying, I returned for a second visit armed with a list of naïve questions with me being new to the property market and recently grieving. Chris was transparent with his answers and admitted this role himself he was new too. I liked his honesty and from this point realised these were a genuine establishment to put my trust in. My own property was originally for sale with an alternative branch and so impressed I was with Chris and the regular and reliable communications I decided it was time to visit the Wellingborough Branch in December 2023 from the point of walking in the door I thought I need to have Mel and Chris sell my house. The Office was inviting with its walls adorned with "thank you cards" from happy Customers, nice touch. These guys knew how to sell and buy properties, I have struck gold now was my instinctive feeling. Mel was great and offered in January 2024 to take the photos and relaunch my house for sale. 2024 brought many potential buyers to my home and I was also overwhelmed with another member of staff, Nicola from the Wellingborough Branch who was so lovely and patient with my thoughts of moving away from my Family Home. Over the next few months, I had many a conversation over the phone with Yvette, Nicola, Chris and Mel and would often pass by the Office on the way home from work. Never had I felt in the way, never had I felt I ask the wrong question. The Office has the best vibe! All the team show great enthusiasm for their job, genuine loyalty and real knowledge of the Property Market - as well as being good fun. My decision to no longer sell and remain in the Family Home is a heartfelt one which has arrived with mental health struggles of late. When explaining to Mel in the Spring of 2024 I wished to take my house off the market this news was greeted with understanding and appreciation for my situation. Chris and Nicola have been supportive too and to this day I have remained in touch simply because whether it be in ten months or ten years if I wish to sell my house, Simpson and Weekley in Wellingborough would be my one and only choice.

I put two offers in with this company, one with Nicola and one with Chris. I had to chase Chris twice to see if my higher offer had been accepted and he said he would get back to me. ( nearly two weeks ago ) He never did, and today I find out another offer has been accepted and I didn’t even get the courtesy of being asked if I wanted to place a higher offer, or that it wasn’t accepted. This is all over a three week period. I could have offered their client more, and I am a certified buyer with no chain. Absolutely useless service.
The manager of the branch was also supposed to call me back as I wasn’t happy with the service. Guess what…. They never did.

We sold our house via Simpson& Weekly's Wellingborough office.
Mel came out and assessed the property and explained the selling process as we had lived there for 37 years and had very little experience in the market.
In a quiet market there were quite a few viewings and we were kept up to date with how they went. We completed the sale in October to a couple who were renting their current home so we didn't need to wait for a chain to be built up.
There were a few hiccups with the buyers and their solicitor but Chris at S&W kept me informed with how things were progressing.
I'd happily use Simpson& Weekly again.

Where do I begin…the customer service at this place is shocking!! So much so, that we were able to end our contract early due to multiple complaints being emailed. Thank god for that! if you’re not a fan of an estate agent who lie and tell you all that you want to hear, just to entice you to their company. Then this is not the place for you!
We joined Simpson and Weekley, with the hopes that they would help us out in selling our house. Having placed our house on the market prior to Simpson and Weekley, with a different estate agent. When we initially met Melanie she spoke very highly of her team and ensured us that they would do all they could to sell our house. Not knowing that this would just be all talk, in order to get us on board. We were promised prompt feedback after a viewing and instead had to chase them up for feedback. Upon chasing them up, we were told by Chris how he did phone us. When in fact there was never any missed calls, or voicemails on our phone to show this. We then took this to Melanie to express our upset about being lied to and Melanie very much sided with Chris and even stated how we could have simply not heard the phone. Since this incident, we had not heard from either Chris, or Melanie and felt like this complaint made us be treated differently by them. So much so, that when we initially started with Simpson and Weekley. It was explained to us that we would get sent a market report, as well as followed by a phone call every two weeks. We received the market report. But no phone call. We had phone calls prior to the complaint. But coincidentally, the complaint occurred and no phone calls.
Not only this, but a few weeks ago we had a viewing on our property and was met with a new employee called David. After our viewing and feedback was given. We then received a leaflet in the post from this man, showcasing his own real estate company. We felt it was very odd that this employee of Simpson and Weekley, would be trying to entice customers. Even though he works for their company now. When we voiced this matter, we were told that there was a perfectly good explanation for why this employee was sending out leaflets to promote his own business. But frankly, from what had happen before. We could not trust anything that anyone says from this company.
It has upset us immensely that we have been treated in this way. We have been wanting to sell our house from January and have had difficulties in doing so because of the market. Something that Simpson and Weekley knew very well about. We came to this company as we really felt that they could help us. Instead we were left with disappointment from their poor customer service and we are now back to square one.

Just like the entire team, Chris was the one who spent most of the time with us patiently showing us properties, advising us on the different properties as well as giving us tips on how we could decorate this or that property, usage of space here and there. He advised us more than what most sales agents would do.

My partner recently sold his house with Simpson (Wellingborough Branch). Mel came over to look at the property, take photographs and she was very helpful and friendly. Throughout the process, my partner had a number of interactions with Olivia Graziano a Trainee Sales Negotiator. We were informed by Olivia that the individuals purchasing the address were no longer about to afford the property and have reduced their offer by 5K. When we spoke to Olivia about returning to the purchaser and requesting more - Olivia just did not seem helpful. Simpson as a whole have been fine, just felt Olivia did not support us during such a stressful time.

We were purchasing a property through the Wellingborough office and were primarily dealing with Mica who, throughout the whole process, was patient and friendly.
We encountered a few issues (relatively minor ones caused by external factors) along the way which Mica was happy to help guide us through and work to help get them resolved quickly. On the day of completion, things went very smoothly.
Prior to the purchase, Simpson & Weekly had shown us a couple of properties and found them to be very amenable and polite with no pushy sales techniques at all.
Overall, very happy to deal with them and would certainly use them again if we needed to.
