I found that Simpson West was active in bringing buyers through our door. Communication was great. However, I definitely found they were pro buyers when they made an offer instead of working for the sellers to get a good price. Then we found them a little bit pushy to close the deal when waiting for our acceptance or not. In general they were a good agent.

Can't fault how they dealt with the sale, especially as I wasn't local and they handled all appointments, but kept me advised of when they were, as I could work round this for my visits to remove personal items. They had a buyer in 3 weeks.
When I asked for help, they were there and responded in 24 hours every time.

A someone selling a UK property from abroad, I was very impressed with Simpson West throughout the process, and in particular with the problem solving abilities of the particular agent I was dealing with - even with finishing up with some of the outstanding details that popped up late in the process. There was a problem, and some time wasted, with the conveyancing solicitor SW initially recommended, and with the keys at the end, but these issues were not their fault, and on the latter question SW moved quickly to remedy the situation to everyone's satisfaction. I would certainly recommend SW to other sellers. My dealings with Sanjay were exclusively via phone and email. I want to do a BIG shout out to the management admin team!!!! Claire and Pearl were outstanding!! I am sure management are always praising their sales team and forget about the team who have one of the hardest jobs in an estate agent. It is truly underestimated how hard managing properties can be but Pearl and Claire made it look easy. If there was a problem they responded quickly and sorted it without delay or fuss. When they did inspections of the home we rented they did not make us uncomfortable it felt more like a friend was popping round and being nosey. Simpson should be beyond proud to have an admin team as strong as theirs and should celebrate their success and professionalism because they represent Simpson in all that they do and they do it well, very well! I cannot thank them enough for caring for us during our tenancy and always supporting us. I would recommend renting through Simpson because this was the first rental oit of a few where there was actually a decent management team looking after it. We dealt with Simpson and West when we moved to Corby. We were due to view a property we had been in contact about but whilst driving up from London we telephoned them to confirm the postcode to be told that property had sold! They rushed around to show us a different property, "the same layout" they claimed but wasn't actually ready yet...
After viewing it however we noticed the garden was alot smaller and later found out it had no garage either!
It took many months before the property was actually ready, numerous phone calls to Simpson and West as they never communicated with us. They couldn't wait to pass us off to the housing association the property belonged to.

As a property investor I have used various agents in Corby to sell my properties through. Simpson and West always deliver. They provide a realistic expectation when valuing the property and they get a lot of viewings from the outset.
This time we had a few issues with the buyers lender wanting certain reports doing as part of the survey process. Stuart arranged the drainage contractor and went out to meet them, so I didn't have to and then followed up with them to get the report to the lender as fast as possible so that we could complete on the sale.

Simpson West were very professional and helpful from the beginning with advise on solicitors and financial advisers (Daniel Wykes). Our house sold in the first week of advertising but the sale fell through just before the contracts were to be signed as the buyer had changed their mind. Simpson West then arranged lots of viewings but unfortunately no one put in an offer.
They then suggested we use our house as a trade in so we could get the house we had put in an offer for before our sale fell through which meant they lost the fee for our sale so we could get the house we wanted

Recently sold a property with Simpson West, they are the most understanding and compassionate agent in the town which became clear after agreeing with a sale within a week of coming on the market, I recommend anyone looking to buy or sell to use Simpson West as they are excellent with communication and feedback.

I have purchased several houses from SimpsonWest and the team have always went the extra mile. The only agent I have dealt with that is open till 7 so I can do viewings after work and also the only agency to do viewings on a Sunday which is my only day off.

We are trying to buy a property with Simpson West.
I say "trying" cause on the 14th of October 2017 our offer has been accepted by the vendor and from that point Simpson West disappeared. We have tried to contact our referent many times and apparently he was never in. Eventually we found out that he was no longer working for SW and that none of his colleague could be bothered to inform us nor to take care of our purchasing. This passed to the branch manager who hasn't been able to give us any update , cause apparently the vendor solicitor didnt 't answer to his emails and they were too busy to try to call again. After Christimas our case passed to the Sales Manager, who we trusted as someone who was finally moving things forward but we stuck again. We are ready with the solicitors for the contract exchange but this doesn't happen cause the same guy apparently in 3 weeks couldn't find a gas engineer to service the boiler as our solicitor requested. I can't express how disappointed and frustrated we are as we are ready to go and we are stuck. We lost 5 months and a lot of money in rental because of their delays and excuses. I wouldn't recommend this agency to anybody. 2 of my colleagues both property in the same area with different agencies and they completed in 2/3 months time.

I did some research before choosing to allow Simpson West to act as agents to rent out my property in Boughton Road , Corby. I had lived in the property myself since the house was built, and as I was leaving to move in with my partner I left in situ , a washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge freezer.
Very early on I found it almost impossible to speak to anyone in the letting office. The office in Thrapston was manned only occasionally , I left numerous messages if I needed to speak to anyone and never did they get back to me. It was all very frustrating. I travel a lot , sometimes away for as much as 2 months and had hoped that Simpson and West would a company that I could rely on.
I decided to sell my property and the obvious choice was to sell using the same company that I had used to rent it out. To the credit of Simpson and West they found a buyer very quickly , this sale fell through because the buyer had personal problems, but , a new buyer was found within a couple of weeks. The sale was going through with the same slow speed we are used to when selling property and solicitors are involved . I asked Simpson and West to allow me to collect my white goods before the completion date and was informed that I could not have them back. I did not sell my house to include white goods , in fact the buyer did not want them. I offered them to the tenant and she did not want them either. Eventually I was told that unless I left them in the property for the tenant to use until she moved I would lose the sale , so had no choice but to leave them , on the understanding that Simpson and West would contact me when she moved out and I could then have them back.
I found out by chance that the tenant had moved out so contacted Simpson asking to collect them. I arranged a date and a time to arrive with a hired van to collect my 3 items. On my arrival I was told my fridge freezer was in the garden shed ( which had been damaged squeezing it in ) there was no sign of my dishwasher and the washing machine was no where to be seen either. . Simpson West deny all knowledge and have refused to compensate me for my loss, which a a pensioner I can ill afford to lose. I WOULD NEVER EVER USE SIMPSON WEST AGAIN> and suggest anyone looking to rent out a property look elsewhere.

You would expect that if an estate agent is selling a property they would be aware of the property boundaries. This is obviously not the case in Lyveden Way.
Again for the second year running they have erected a for sale signs on my property which is NOT FOR SALE.
Pointless phoning and complaining which I did last year, several times, and was met with arrogance from their employees.
Again I will have to remove the sign and if a replacement appears I will have to deliver it to thier Corby Office.
