Working through Leaders to sell our house in the UK has been a very positive experience even though stressfull. Living in Canada we totally relied on our real estate agents to take us through the process and provide us with trustworthy advice. Very disappointing and expensive experience dealing with Leaders Cambridge. Poor communication, repeated delays, and a total lack of accountability caused significant stress and unexpected costs.<br><br>Firstly, no one showed up to my initial viewing, and during the application process I felt pressured to take out insurance covering the landlord’s possessions before even seeing a tenancy agreement, let alone signing one. I also felt they were attempting to pressure me into using their 'no-deposit scheme', as it was strongly implied that my application would be viewed less favourably than others if I opted to pay a traditional deposit.<br><br>Most seriously, my move-in date changed multiple times at short notice (once was at 4:30pm on the day I was due to move in). This was because Leaders had failed to do the appropriate safety checks prior to listing the property, which resulted in an discrepancy with the EICR certificate holding everything up. Despite assurances that this would be fixed promptly, further delays and absolutely no updates followed after an entire week. During this time, I incurred unexpected hotel, moving, and transport costs because these delays left me with no where to live.<br><br>Still with no tenancy agreement to be seen 3 weeks after paying my deposit, I was eventually left with no choice but to withdraw my application and requested the return of my £173.07 holding deposit as the statutory time frame had long since passed. At the time of writing, my decision still has not even been acknowledged after yet another week and instead I have received further pushy emails proposing new move-in dates (unsurprisingly delayed even further by the landlord deciding to paint the property).<br><br>The handling of this situation fell well below expectations and, as such, I would not recommend the use of Leaders Cambridge.

No real communication only after it had been on a few weeks they rang to ask about lowering the price. Had no faith they would find a buyer overall very disappointing

Sam Jones property manager totally mishandled my situation. On multiple occasions he purposely withheld information to keep tenants liable for ridiculous charges. Absolutely appalling service and borderline illegal practices. My experience with Sam and leaders has put a sour taste in my mouth and has left a giant problem to solve with no support from the body that was supposed to be looking after the situation. Save yourself time and effort and go with another agency.

Disgusting the way they treat tenants. I’ve lived in 5 different house shares with numerous company’s this is by far the worse. The property was advertised as a young professionals house yet they move in tenants 35+ who are uber eats drivers with limited English. I’m not sure how the constitutes “young” and “ professional”. Since living here I’ve had problems with stealing from food to toiletries. Leaders response was “ well there should be numbers on fridge drawers” there is 3 drawers for 4 tenants and it’s common sense not to eat food you didn’t buy. We’ve had police out to the property twice. First time was the older man upstairs getting arrested for harassing women in his workplace. Nothing done by leaders, he remained in the property for months living with women. Completely unsafe. The second time police called to the property was due to leaders moving someone in without telling us. This led to us calling 111 as we thought it was a burglar. Leaders response was that they don’t need to tell us if someone moves in. AVOID at all costs. Entirely unsafe for women.
