9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)I would strongly advise against using this agency. We had an offer accepted by a landlord and were sent the contract and all payment details late Friday afternoon. Interestingly, they don’t take holding deposits (claiming they "don't operate that way"), yet they expected us to sign and transfer a very large sum of money immediately without having our questions answered. By Monday morning, we had cleared all queries, completed references, and signed the contract. After being told to wait for the landlord's "green light" for several hours while we were ready to pay, we were suddenly told the landlord had accepted another identical offer. The excuse given was that the "market is competitive," which is a poor cover for unprofessionalism. They wasted our time, energy, and personal data. Avoid if you want a transparent or reliable process.

26th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)I'm posting this review here as Winkworth is trying to take my truthful review down on TrustPilot. I have hundreds of screenshots willing to prove the terrible service I received as a tenant and to prove all the harassment as they would incessantly email from multiple people from the same office. I wouldn't be posting yet another complaint if they didn't report my review for a second time, but they've forced my hand. They serve section 21 eviction notices left and right before it is entirely legal (based on the timeframe, they do it pre emptively to the 2 month threashhold, and did so in my case). They tried entering my property without giving 24 hour notice multiple times outside the 2 month allowance timeframe. It took the team 4.5 months to return my entire deposit. I had to contact TDS and even go through legal avenues in order to receive my undisputed deposit. A shoutout to the terrible Bradley Whitehead, Sibel Camci and last but certainly least as in she is the bane of the Shepherd's Bush rental market, the lazy & entitled Daisie Lander. These three are chancers at best, reaping profits off of rentals that aren't legally fit to be rented and keeping deposits to record profits. They also "heavy suggest" that tenants use only one cleaner they refer us. The fear of losing more of our deposit is real and something they regularly enforce from what I've seen. This is illegal to enforce in the UK and because of the vague way that they suggest us to use their recommended cleaner, people cannot place this forward as a formal complaint. That said, I can note that they only suggest one cleaner. This office uses every underhanded manner to torture their tenants and make upper class professionals feel like criminals who should feel so lucky to have a tenancy. I've heard multiple complaints about Daisie when finding my next rental and get why some people don't want women to work, they're all thinking of her in particular. Lazy, entitled, and constantly out of office, I can personally show all the times she was out of office when I sent her an email. Though that's just the beginning of this tale, from strange agents coming into my apartment without any warning and claiming they were "new" (high turnover I see), to receiving several emails everyday regarding rentals for 4-5 weeks straight after I received my section 21 eviction as a standard harassment tactic, this isn't the office you want to work with or be renting from.

Always happy to help and answer any questions as silly as they may be. The ladies are all so lovely and friendly and Tilley the pup instantly cheers your day up!

While arranging a tenancy, they threatened to pull our contract if we didn't agree to pay within 24 hours, stating the past tenants wanted to remain in the property. We were in contact with the past tenants whoever, who were all moving out of the city. They made a meal out of every situation we encountered them in, and had a horrid smarmy attitude which made any interactions draining. Steer clear unless you're also an energy vampire.
17th Dec 2025 (13 weeks ago)Highly recommended - friendly, honest, responsive and professional. Having rented in London for over a decade, I know how hard it is to find a good lettings agency and Russell and Tamara at DM &Co really stand out from the crowd. From my first contact they were very professional and friendly. When a landlord refused our tenancy application on a first property due to my needing a guarantor, they were empathetic and compassionate and really fought our corner. They were even happy to give us advice later as we continued our search and came up against some less scrupulous agencies. When a second suitable property came up, Russell remembered us and contacted us straightaway for a viewing and as a result we now have a lovely new rental property to call home. Unlike a lot of agents I have had to deal with, they are extremely transparent, and were happy to answer any questions we had regarding the tenancy agreement, deposits etc. I have encountered plenty of estate agencies who either don't bother to update their knowledge appropriately, or who will try to keep you in the dark just to see what they can get away with. At DM & Co there is none of this, just an honest, professional approach from a small, local team who obviously know the area well. We have been in our new property for nearly three months now and so far everything has gone off without a hitch - they are very responsive and helpful when communicating with our landlady regarding any queries we have, anything that has gone wrong in the property or anything else we have needed so far. So a big thank you to Russell and Tamara - if only more agencies were like you. Update (December 2025): after 5 years renting our much-loved property in Northolt, we have now moved on. The check out process went really smoothly and DM&Co were very human and flexible when we weren't quite sure of the timeline for moving out. Thank you both for your hard work and efficiency over the past 5 years - communication has always been great and it has been a pleasure to deal with you.

As first-time buyers, we felt completely supported and reassured by his guidance as he is highly knowledgeable, approachable, and truly goes above and beyond for his clients. We would highly recommend Checkmates to anyone on the property market.
20th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Canary have provided a very good service to us as Landlords to let our 3-bedroom property in Stanmore (NW London). They tried their best to find professional tenants, and were very quick to get the property photographed and out on the market. They are friendly, honest and professional and go the extra mile to provide a personalised service. They have a useful bank of reliable handymen too who can help with gas/electric certificates. They provided important guidance to us as landlords even if they weren’t managing the property and this was much appreciated. They are always contactable and very quick to respond. Overall a great estate agent ????????????????.
12th Mar 2026 (6 days ago)We rented an apartment through Johns & Co at approximately £5,500 per month, with our tenancy handled by Ralph. Unfortunately, the start of the tenancy was extremely disappointing and far below the standard one would reasonably expect at this price level. During the first week we encountered a number of serious issues. The property had not been properly prepared at move-in, the fire alarms were not functioning initially, and a malfunctioning door lock resulted in my mother being unable to exit the property for an extended period. In addition, we experienced no heating for around five days, no hot water or proper shower for approximately six days, and the fridge remained non-functional for more than a week, meaning we were unable to store food. There were also other faults including leaks and malfunctioning appliances. What was particularly concerning was the slow response to these issues. Despite the number of problems, no one from the agency attended the property to assess the situation in person, and communication largely consisted of messages while repairs were arranged gradually over time. While some issues were eventually addressed, the overall experience during the first week of the tenancy caused significant disruption and was not consistent with the expectations for a property marketed as a premium apartment.

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. He has already achieved a sale with one and I am sure will soon do so with the second.Very happy to have been introduced to him.

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!

6th Jan 2024 (2 years ago)I was very lucky to have Addison Giles as my property agent, or should I say Natasha. She was extremely helpful from day one. After looking for multiple properties with other agents who would not even respond for take days, we had given hopes, but finally we managed to secure one with the help of Natasha at Addison Giles. She was very professional, helpful, easy to communicate and responsive . The entire process went very smooth and quick, which is what we were hoping for. Natasha made sure that the property was professionally cleaned and had everything ready beforehand so there was really not much we had to do. She even helped us suggest nearby free parking areas as the flat we rented did not have parking. She always made sure to return calls and answer all of our questions. Overall we had a five star experience with Addison Giles and Natasha and we would recommend their services to everyone. Thank you so much.

30th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)I couldn’t have been happier with my decision to work with Martin on the sale of my beloved home. I’ve been unlucky with timing and withdrawn offers over the last 4 years. I used multiple agents and it just didn’t work. Then I recall my previous conversations with Martin a long time ago and decided to get in touch. I’ve always preferred working with local agents so I appointed Clements Habba. Martin knows the market like the back of his hand and is honest (but with ambition) with his assessment on pricing and timing. I needed a quick sale and he delivered within the time frame and the agreed price range. He has also really gone above and beyond throughout the process, which I couldn’t have done without given I live abroad.

Secrea's patient guidance and clear expertise demystified the entire reassignments process for us. She always kept us informed and responded promptly to our queries. Billy's proactive approach and exceptional communication skills were crucial in keeping things on track. He liaised with solicitors and efficiently resolved challenges, from documents to securing the completion date. We felt completely supported and informed throughout.
