9th Apr 2026 (30 days ago)We were unfortunately subject to the sudden closure of Butterworths solicitors, so we decided to find where Dave Mitchell was working now (he dealt with our first home when he used to work for Butterworths several years ago). We outlined the circumstances to him given the stress of both our purchase and sale being with a firm that had gone out of business overnight. He took our cases on immediately, he was reassuring and in no time he had pieced together both sale and purchase. As per our previous experience, he responds to emails immediately, he is clearly very experienced and doesn't mess around. As a result of his hard work and diligence he ensured we sold our home and got the keys for our new home in a timely manner. I couldn't recommend him enough. I notice some of the reviews say this firm is a little bit more expensive than others, but he was worth every penny. I'd never used Arnison Heelis before, but I certainly would again knowing they employ such high quality solicitors. Thanks again.
7th May 2026 (2 days ago)I couldn't recommend them enough. Really helpful throughout the entire process, easy to get in touch with someone to to ask about anything. Very quick with email replies but also keeping me updated on the process of the sale. My contact Helen was always friendly and professional, as was all the team. Service was a 10/10 and I would definitely go to them again.

Lots of support during the preparation for marketing, leveraging their trade contacts to get things done quickly. Clear advice of options during the price and subsequent negotiations. Staff always friendly, very prompt responses to queries, good handover between staff so that people always knew what they were talking about. A really great experience.

5th Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)Pattinsons grossly over priced my property, possibly by nearly 50%. I received apologies for this but I think it caused problems in the sale of the house. They recommended selling it via auction which I'm not convinced was the best way of selling it. The property is no longer on the market. I will look to try and sell it in the spring with another agent.

15th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Failed to turn up to a pre arranged viewing to which I had travelled 190 miles to attend, they blamed this on their systems not the users, To make matters worse they valued the house at initially £1.15m and then reduced in to £850k. Even without an internal viewing I could tell the house house had such roof and structural issues that it probably needed knocking down. Which as a building plot resuklted in a vaue of £400k. Avoid this agency.

21st Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Best estate agents in Cumbria. When selling our house we initially overlooked Lakes Estates and went for an established regional agent. That was a mistake. That established agent rested on their laurels and ultimately proved totally ineffective. However, despite initially rejecting Lakes Estates, when approached a second time Glenn happily took over and marketed our property at an increased selling price, achieving a sale very quickly. He knows the market and what buyers want. His approach is personal, professional and ultimately highly effective. He is open and honest - refreshing qualities for an estate agent. Office Manager Hannah is diligent, polite and also extremely efficient in her role. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We encountered some minor issues during the sales process that Hannah easily took in her stride. If you are in Cumbria, these are the agents you should use.

Nothing was too big or stupid of a question, there is nothing she wouldn’t do to support and made every step of the process an absolute breeze having my house advertised quickly and sold in less than a week.
