3rd Feb 2026 (22 weeks ago)We rented a property in Chingford from 1 February 2026 through Claremont Estates. Zak and Mafiz acted as a great bridge between us, the landlord, and Goodlord. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.
27th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I wish i had gone with Andrea years ago. I had tried several local agents in the area over the years. Some overvalued my property to win the business or had the viewings conducted by junior staff without much experience. Andrea managed to get a genuine buyer and a successful sale despite the current problems in Central London. Courteous, conducted viewings himself and I wish I had met him and taken his advice years ago.
25th Mar 2026 (15 weeks ago)My partner and I had 2 tenancies managed by Jade in Samuel Estates. Throughout those years, Jade has always been very patient with our queries and always speedy and productive with answers. She was also extremely helpful when our first tenancy ended unexpectedly when our Landlord wanted to sell. She found us a flat in the building next door and we got to move without any fuss at all. Saving what could have been a very stressful event. Very much appreciated all her help.

7th Apr 2026 (13 weeks ago)Imagine being so unprofessional that you schedule a viewing, talk so highly about your agency and then be extremely lame enough to not show up for the viewing. I had the absolute displeasure to deal with James Setright who scheduled a viewing and then forgot to show up at 308, Garratt Lane address at the time of the viewing. My partner travelled an hour to reach the address and then viola, nobody shows up, I call up and James picks up and tells me that there’s nothing he could do and the best he could do is to schedule it for another day. Whilst being civil and acting like he cared, there was absolutely no other alternative offered. I just feel sorry for the seller here, since they should pick up someone more professional and reasonable to deal with. To anyone at John D Wood who’s the owner, it’s not only hard to schedule viewings and reach your staff but they are just incredibly bad to deal with and make basic errors that are just blasphemous for. The nature of the business.
27th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)Be very fearful of this agency. When we moved in, their agent Laura confirmed that du to our daughter suffering from pneumonia and having a serious of respiratory issues, the landlord could deal with the mould in property before we moved in. After we moved in they did not deal with it, and they ignored all of our messages relating it. Upon moving out, at the end of the one year term, they assisted the landlord in ensuring there was enough of a grey area where they could claim that we did not give notice for the end of our tenancy properly. As a result, they took an extra months rent, amounting to £5000, and stayed silent through the process whilst we attempted to take this back. At the end of adjudication the landlord ended up taking it, as they’re clear knew what they were doing and ensuring that they could take this money from a young family, despite us having moved out of the property in time, liaising with them to hand over the keys, and the landlord actually staying in the property and making used to the property after we moved out. I have never dealt with such an agency in my life - they knew the landlord would do this and never found it appropriate that once we moved out, the landlord intended to keep our entire deposit sum.

Kayleigh went above and beyond to keep everything moving, coordinate between all parties and help get the purchase over the line.<br><br>Both were professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We'd happily recommend Keating Estates to anyone looking to buy in the area.

15th Jun 2026 (20 days ago)This is now my 8th year with Maalems estate agents and I have not had a single day without tenants in my flat.<br>It’s such a stress free arrangement for me as I have Maalems manage my flat also, so they resolve all issues when they arise allowing me to concentrate fully on my work without ever having issues to deal with from the tenants.<br><br>Maalems have always selected excellent tenants who take great care of my property and my current tenants are heading into their 4th year with me.<br><br>Leah and her team always manage to get top of the market rent for me whilst their fees percentage is very low….especially for the amazing job they do for me.<br><br>But for me the far more important thing than the rental income they continue to achieve for me is the great relationship I have with them. Always 100% professional but always so personable also. They really do look out for me and have my best interests at the forefront, never once have I felt like just another landlord to them. From the first day I handed Leah the keys I’ve also has an excellent relationship with the whole team, no matter who it is I deal with.<br><br>And I have to mention Magda who is in charge of the day to day on my flat and with whom I have the most contact. She is the greatest trouble shooter and whenever an issue arises with work needing to be done on my flat she always gets it resolved instantly, and prevents any stresses passing down to me.<br>And I must add the tradespeople they use to maintain my property are truly excellent. The work gets done instantly, always to an exceptional standard and the bill is always a lot lower than expected.<br><br>So I couldn’t be happier with Maalems estate agents and I look forward to continuing my relationship with them for many more years

They sold our property within 3 weeks of going on sale, even within a difficult economic period. Photography was excellent and thorough.<br><br>We would strongly recommend Jacob and Orchid, we were extremely happy with the service.

19th Jun 2026 (16 days ago)Very disappointing experience.<br><br>I paid a holding deposit, completed the referencing and background checks, and was sent a draft tenancy agreement to sign. I was also contacted and informed that everything was fine and that the final contract would be sent shortly.<br><br>Based on these assurances, I gave notice to my current landlord to vacate my existing property.<br><br>After waiting for around two weeks, I unexpectedly received an email indicating that the property was still available. It appeared that the property continued to be marketed despite my holding deposit having been paid, the referencing process having been completed, and a draft contract having already been signed.<br><br>What was most concerning was the lack of communication. At no point was I proactively informed that there was an issue or that the tenancy might not proceed. Had I not received that email and followed up myself, I could have been left without confirmed accommodation after already serving notice on my current home.<br><br>This situation caused significant stress and uncertainty and could have had serious consequences. I would strongly advise future tenants not to give notice on their current property until they have a fully executed tenancy agreement and written confirmation that everything is finalised.

Andy was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout. His knowledge of the local market was clear, and he provided honest, practical advice that made a real difference. Due to his hard work and determination, we managed to sell our house in a very unstable market, which we are extremely grateful for. Even though the buyers were difficult at times, Andy put real effort into dealing with them and guided both them and us through the process, which helped keep everything moving smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andy and the agency to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. A genuinely reliable and efficient service.

He was very professional and a pleasure to deal with.<br><br>I also dealt with Katie Jameson and Joey Abreu from the letting part of the business. They were both amazing and I have zero bad things to say about them and their highly professional service.
