12th Mar 2026 (23 weeks ago)Savills were the letting agent for my property for about 6yrs after being bought by Area Estates. Savills do bare minimum with regards to repairs and maintenance. Camilla Kirby who recently left the company was lovely and made every effort to assist with the limited authority she had, sadly she was replaced by Rachel Bentley who is condescending, rude and quite frankly should not deal with the public in any capacity. Following a S21 notice due to selling before the new landlord rules come into affect in May, they attempted to charge £760 for removal of a fish tank from the loft of property despite it being in the property from the beginning of the tenancy and having no proof it wasn’t. She lied in a reference and stated that it couldn’t be changed as the director had approved it, and when I pressed her saying the reference was factually incorrect she stated “the DWP may be able to assist you with something in writing about your benefits”.

Thank you Kathryn Lee, you were always so encouraging. Forever grateful to you. Very happy and settled now in my new home.
9th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)I would highly recommend Balfours, Allister and his team worked extremely hard to sell my mothers property recently keeping as well I formed and giving good advice throughout. Would definitely use this estate agency again!

23rd Feb 2021 (5 years ago)We moved house between the lockdowns in September 2020. It all went through within a couple of months and would probably not have happened without the skills of Annabel Fearnall and her colleagues at Barbers Rural. We made enquiries from several agencies including well-known nationally-recognised firms, but Barbers Rural was by far the best with their intimate knowledge of the locality. There was really no contest and the result of the sale is testimony to that. Also, theirs was by far the most reasonable cost. We have nothing but praise for and thanks to the firm for their professional standards and for the manner in which they prepared our house for the potential limited number of purchasers. We were always confident that Annabel was on top of the situation and was working in our best interests. We can thoroughly recommend Barbers Rural - we couldn't have done better.
24th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Found them to be extremely arrogant, who complains about a purchasers solicitor being on holiday in the middle of the school holidays. Obviously never sold a property in the summer before. Then expects the purchaser to let the vendor to be able to enter the property after contracts and payment have been made. Typical expectation of estate agents, middle men who do nothing and treat purchasers like dirt. Can't wait for the housing market to stop and the boot is on the other foot, and estate agents have to earn a living.

Nothing is too much trouble and the updates and communication is excellent! If I ever sell another house I know where to come! Thanks guys! ??????

I would use them again when I go back on the market.- 12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)They only care about properties to sell, rentals tho they half arse and don’t really care about, they will leave you in the dark ghost you and not update you, you have to go out of your way to make sure they do there job and even then it’s luck of the draw if they do or don’t …. Letting agents no wonder they have a bad reputation….

19th Aug 2026 (4 days ago)I can't speak highly enough of the team at YourMove Oswestry, and of Rebekah Druce in particular. Firstly, Rebekah showed great initiative and local market knowledge by identifying a house which wasn't even on the market at the time as a potential suitable destination for the sellers of the property into which we were keen to move. This worked perfectly for everyone, and enabled the chain to be built. The chain was long and quite complex, but Rebekah's strong communication skills and navigation of the various challenges, including progressing other issues occurring in the chain beyond the property into which we were moving, was first class, and enabled successful completion on time for 5 sets of buyers/sellers. Fantastic service, and thank you Rebekah!
