Eight years ago, when we purchased the farm, Melissa was working for a different agent and supported us through what was a particularly complex and far-from-straightforward transaction. We never forgot how capable, calm and supportive she was throughout that process, so when the time came to sell, she was the natural choice to represent us. From the moment Melissa took over the sale, the experience was seamless. She went above and beyond at every stage, always being available, doing exactly what she said she would do, and even negotiating on our behalf while on annual leave. She has helped me find a lovely new home and the moving process has been very quick, this making things a lot easier for me during what has been a difficult time. Louise and the team have answered all of my questions and have been really friendly. I’m glad I can stay as a tenant with Sally Botham Estates because I know they will look after me and be here to help me whenever I need anything.

21st Oct 2025 (21 weeks ago)Oz was absolutely brilliant from the moment we met til the day we handed over the keys. Always answered any email or calls within a day (even when he was on holiday). Ewe move will always be a first choice if we are to move again and we will always refer them to a friend who is moving. To finish off the sale we was handed a bottle of prosecco which was a lovely touch. ***HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!***
9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.

27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)Anthony was Incredible; this is a boutique estate agent and focuses on every little detail to ensure the house is sold. From the premium photography to the realistic market valuation of the flat. We got an offer accepted within 2 weeks.
12th Nov 2025 (18 weeks ago)No interest in the house at the price advised. Lack of communication regarding certain products offered. Statistics and feedback had to be asked for every week.
17th Mar 2026 (1 day ago)After a disappointing start with no communication and the fact we wanted to move to another estate agent, we agreed to start again and have new photos taken and increase the visibility of the property. This resulted in more viewings however we did have to reduce the price of the property from what it was originally priced. It did attract more viewings but I felt we had to prompt the agents to get more done. They did eventually do everything that was required and sometimes we beyond what we expected.

It was the best experience we’ve had viewing a house, he was so knowledgeable and friendly. The house wasn’t for us but if we could have brought a house via Phil we would have!

Someone is always at the end of the phone to offer guidance or reassurance. The staff who came to the house to value/take photos/show people around treated my property with respect. Having lived here happily for many years, they helped me find the right people to love it when I have moved to my new adventure.
