22nd Jul 2023 (3 years ago)They are terrible! I have reported them to the Property Ombudsman due to their bullish, oppressive and unlawful approach to me. Their communications is poor and have very poor management and people skills. Their complaints procedure is inadequate, poorly implemented as led by the person I complained about. No response to a Solicitors letter either.

Much better than other estate agents in the area! Cathryn in particular was so helpful throughout the whole buying process, we couldn’t have done it without her!

21st Oct 2025 (10 mo. ago)This estate agent is a joke when it comes to marketing properties and getting tenants for landlords. I made the terrible mistake of being lured in by Japan Services’ low fees vs. the high street nationwide companies. First they took almost a week to implement small changes to the contract, the flat photos for the ad were taken ON A PHONE BY AN AGENT are were just as disastrous as you’d expect: badly lit, terrible angles, not cropped. So the ad was a disaster. For all these reasons they failed to get a SINGLE VIEWING in 3 weeks. Let alone an offer. And didn’t even get in touch to discuss a price drop. In general, their communication was abysmal. After giving Japan Services ample time I hired a high street agent who had dozen of viewings within the first 48 hours and three offers in less than a week. I 100% regret ever working with this estate agent and they proved correct every negative stereotype of incompetency in this industry. If I’d just gone with a more expensive high street agent I’d have made back the price difference due to my flat not sitting empty for weeks. Do not repeat my mistake. I dread to think what they’d be like actually managing a property…

1st Aug 2026 (22 days ago)Our experience with Gillespie Gibbs was outstanding, and that’s entirely thanks to Adam.<br><br>After going through two terrible experiences with other letting agencies, we had honestly lost hope. Then we met Adam, and the difference was night and day. From the very beginning, he genuinely cared about helping us rather than just processing another application.<br><br>He went above and beyond to chase the landlord, keep us updated, and make sure everything moved as quickly as possible so we could move into our new home on time. What impressed us even more was that he would reply to our messages and keep us informed even when he wasn’t working, simply because he knew how stressful the situation was for my family. That level of dedication made us feel supported and gave us real peace of mind during a very difficult time.<br><br>His communication was excellent, he was always professional, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.<br><br>In today’s rental market, where many landlords do whatever they want and too many agencies seem to forget that tenants are people because of the high demand for housing, it’s incredibly refreshing to find someone who genuinely cares. Adam’s customer service was exceptional, and his dedication made what is usually a very stressful process feel smooth and reassuring.<br><br>This industry needs more people like Adam. He is a real credit to Gillespie Gibbs, and we can’t thank him enough for all his hard work. If you’re looking to rent a property and want someone who will actually look after your interests, we couldn’t recommend Adam and Gillespie Gibbs more highly- 13th Aug 2026 (10 days ago)We have just sold our property through the Gibbs Gillespie Pitshanger office, and they were amazing from start to finish. They dealt with the sale in a very professional way — 10 out of 10!<br>We invited a few estate agents to view our property, and Jason was the only one who went out into the garden to appreciate the effort we had put into it. This was one of the reasons we decided to go with him.<br>Jason, Jo, Patricia and Nicola are all true professionals. Every one of them played a key role in selling our property, making the whole process completely stress-free and worry-free for us.<br>We would definitely recommend their services to everyone and would happily use them again in the future.

18th Dec 2025 (8 mo. ago)I previously had my flat on the market with Foxtons for three months and, during that time, only had around four viewings, which I was extremely unsatisfied with. I was then approached by HomeSearch, who took on the property and immediately provided honest and realistic feedback. They felt the flat was overpriced and carried out a proper assessment based on the current market. I was happy with the revised price they suggested. From that point on, the difference was clear. They generated a strong level of interest and arranged many more viewings. Arba and Michael were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Their communication and professionalism stood out throughout the process. After a couple of months with HomeSearch, my property has now received an offer which Ive accepted. I would definitely recommend HomeSearch to anyone looking to sell their property.

16th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)I was recently involved in helping to re-home a relative. Initially, the brief was to buy a house but that changed to finding a rental property. Sam, Ashley and Ranj have been really kind and supportive and have been available to help at every step of the way. They have understood the brief, responded promptly and been very patient. Definitely nice people to do business with. I would highly recommend them if you are searching for a property to either buy or rent.

There was no external indication of what it was, just "For the attention of the legal owner", so it looks important enough to open, not just spam. Highly unethical behaviour and I would not trust this company, or Sarah Black, the manager signing these letters.<br><br>edit: 1 year on just received another identical unsolicited letter. Still begging for the same type of property for the same couple with the same jobs from the same Sarah Black with the same manufactured urgency. Still an unethical business that doesn’t seem to care.- 31st Jul 2026 (23 days ago)We had an excellent experience with Gibbs Gillespie Northfields during the purchase of our home on Felix Road.<br><br>We would especially like to thank Adam Obszanski and Abraham Oommen for their exceptional professionalism, patience and dedication throughout what turned out to be a very challenging purchase.<br><br>Unfortunately, our transaction was delayed due to issues with our original conveyancer, which created a great deal of frustration and uncertainty. Throughout the process, Abraham and Adam remained proactive, supportive and reassuring. They maintained regular communication, kept us updated at every stage, and worked tirelessly with all parties involved to help overcome the challenges and keep the transaction moving forward.<br><br>Their commitment, persistence and genuine care for their clients made a real difference. 9th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)We are very happy with the service we received from Savills. Our estate agent, Christian Whittaker had been nothing but helpful, patient and accommodating. He was available at all times and had even created a WhatsApp group to help us navigate an already stressful transaction amidst a pandemic. He was very prompt in answering any correspondence and tried his best to ensure everything ran smoothly. As first time buyers, we couldn’t be more happy. We highly recommend them if you are in the market for finding a home.

7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)I have consistently had bad experiences looking for a flat through Foxtons in both Ealing and Guildford. This goes to show it is the mentality of the agency, rather than just a branch problem. Essentially, the lettings team will not admit that flats advertised are no longer available, and will offer to show you suitable flats based on your criteria. On most occasions, nearly all the flats did not meet my requirements (furtnished when I need unfurtnished, available after my move in date, etc). This is just a waste of time, which in the end may push some applicants to accept a flat out of need. It would be far better to admit there is nothing suitable right now, and let you pursue other agencies. Agents hunt commision and do not really care for their applicants and tenants. On the last occasion I was looking for a flat, the letting agent was talking about how obstructive tenants are these days, by not allowing unlimited access to flats for the new applicants. That should have been a warning sign.
