For work I was based far from London and they went above and beyond to enable me to sell the flat - sorting out various issues that came up without me having to travel back. I started with another agent who was not able to get nearly as many viewings, so I switched to Oliver Jacques. They were on the ball and James was arranging viewings and always willing to help. When there was a delay related to the Lease, Rosalie problem solved and pushed things forward, finding solutions and working with us to get the sale over the line. Thanks to all at OJ.

Their advice and communication was excellent and they kept everything moving. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

10th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)Catherine and Derek were excellent to deal with from the moment I first made enquiries to the day I moved out. Any emails were responded to very quickly and any issues dealt with - the property was very new and there were some things the builders had to sort but Catherine kept chasing them to ensure things were fixed. All in all they made the process so easy and efficient and were always so pleasant as well. Deposit was returned the day after I moved out which was fantastic.

Dishonest advertising of what was supposed to be a 2 bedroom open plan flat to rent in civic square RM18 Tilbury led my wife and I to believe we had potentially found our perfect home. Just to be sure, my wife even called the agency to make sure it was definitely a 2 bedroom flat. Despite being booked in initially at 16:30 for a viewing, due to the constant stuttering and lack of confidence in what we were being told over the phone, my wife decided to call again an hour before the viewing to make sure we were definitely booked in. We weren’t, so we would have turned up for nothing :) Anyway, we booked ourselves another viewing for 16:45. Surprise surprise, the agent turned up late. Did we get a call to say he was running late? No. We called him and he told us he would be 10 minutes. Surprise surprise, this turned into 25 minutes stood outside the flat baking in the sun. Cherry on top? It was a 1 single bedroom flat with a separate living room and small kitchen. It gets worse. When I confronted the agent about the false advertising, he was incredibly rude and told me “yeah but it can be used as a 2 bed if you use the living room area as a bedroom.” Dishonest agency, unorganised and pathetic to be honest, stay away from this agency!- 8th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Amazing agency, in particular Mr. Giancarlo. I want to give a special thank you to Carol Wade (Office Manager) who was amazing she guided me through the whole process, including all the references, and was so patient and supportive throughout. Geoff Burgess showed me the flat and he was very friendly and helpful. When i went to the office, I met Jemma Buisson who was also lovely and made everything smooth. Overall, the team were professional, kind, and made the process much less stressful. I would definitely recommend them.

17th Mar 2026 (2 days ago)We used Chas Lowe 23 years ago to buy our current home. This time we are selling and, after a recommendation from a friend, instructed a much bigger local firm and really regretted it. After 10 months on the market with 5 offers but no exchange we decided to change agents and use Chas Lowe again. We instantly knew it was the right decision. These men know what they are doing. They know the area and they have a positive, no nonsense attitude which I much prefer to the usual cowboy estate agents. We dealt mainly with James for the viewings and Anthony for all of the after sales stuff( which I had no idea could be so lengthy and tricky- dealing with very particular buyers). Anybody can show potential buyers around your home and get them to like it. The staff in this office actually get the job done and keep you informed at all times-coming up with good ideas and different strategies along the way. I would never mess around with any other firms. Go straight to Chas Lowe. You will be glad that you did.
30th Nov 2025 (16 weeks ago)When we called to enquire about a property the guy just hung up in the middle of conversation. Clearly these shows how unskilled uneducated mannerless these people are. Just lacks basic decency not to mention there was no sign of professionalism. Also they have lied about availability of other properties when called earlier. Avoid them like a plague.

The agents involved in viewings could do with some training in this aspect. Having dealt with other agents in the past I know what ‘good service’ looks like. This unfortunately was not it.
