2nd Mar 2025 (1 year ago)My communication with Winkworth was on and off. During that intermittent interaction with one of their agent, he sounded professional and very eager to assist with the selling. Overall Winkworth tried their best to sell my property but unfortunately was unsuccessful.

25th Jun 2025 (8 mo. ago)I arranged a viewing for a flat advertised on Rightmove, only to find that the property looked nothing like the photos or floor plan in the listing. When I called to question this, I was told the wrong images had been uploaded “by mistake.” This is completely unacceptable and feels deliberately misleading. It wasted my time and gave the impression of highly unprofessional conduct. Listings should accurately represent the property — anything less borders on false advertising.

His initial valuation seemed rather high to us and was more than other agents suggested but within 2 weeks of listing it we sold our house for slightly more than that price. My only reservation - their recommended EPC provider was unsatisfactory.

Adams advice on the selling price, marketing strategy and offers has been excellent and a true testiment to his knowldge. I get a very personal service you can only find in an Independent agency. If you like to rent, buy or sell a property, choose Haymills agency , because the waiting time to process the documents is very short and any issues are very quickly resolved.
20th Oct 2025 (21 weeks ago)Used Ashtons as was a prospective buyer of a property they marketed. Not so many issues with the office but the sales progression team were always quite slow to respond and could never get through to the assigned person to my case. Additionally used ashtons to sell my property and I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience. The problems began immediately. The agency provided an initial valuation to secure our business in July, only to suggest a £25,000 price reduction after just one week, admitting there was no interest. Despite agreeing to the reduction, it did not correlate to an increase in activity which would lead to questions around marketing and resource as Ashtons list a lot of properties. By September, they had only managed to secure two viewings. We received absolutely no feedback from either of these viewings, despite requesting it, leaving us completely in the dark. Lastly thier fees are quite opaque and if youre new to selling read through everything very carefully. In the non flex fees there are baked in withdrawal fees that ensure ashtons get paid regardless if they sell or not. Which gives them little incentive to really push your property in my opinion. The alternative is you pay money up front to them to sell your property which is preposterous. Fundamentally all the agents use rightmove to market your property and that's where most people go to find houses. In summary: an inaccurate valuation, negligible effort, a complete lack of communication, and a devious fee structure designed to charge you even when they fail to perform.

16th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Private Landlords – Pay attention. I have recently been unfortunate to have been a customer of Varosi Lettings as a landlord. I wish I read the reviews beforehand. I took a 2-year contract out with them to look after my property and pay rent for doing so. I had a few issues to say the least with regards to the clients they decided to house in my property. Regardless of any of these issues I was within my rights to request my keys back at the end of the 2-year contract. Within their contract it is stated they need 3 months, to the date, of the end of contract worth of notice. Not only did I email and receive confirmation by the owner Vasilis Mavrou, I also sent a Royal Mail tracked and signed letter which I also have the proof of receipt. Regardless of this information they were adamant that they did not accept the letter or email (to which they were not clear why it was not accepted). 2 days before the hand back date I spoke with Vasilis and he indicated there was absolutely no way I was getting my keys back within the contracted date agreed. I feel his ego was bruised as I wanted my keys back (again within contracted rights). As you can imagine I was very upset and confused. I spoke to my solicitor who proceeded to handle this for us. He also received vague emails from Vasilis himself regarding the contract that they may, or may not have with the local authorities and/or the client. 6 weeks later and a lot of stress and upset later, I finally received my keys back. The property was left in a state, filthy and still needed furniture to be removed. I accept wear and tear, but damage and uncleanliness is not acceptable. After speaking with Mario Neocleous, I also got confirmation a professional cleaning company had been in before the hand back. As you can see from the pictures taken, this is not the case. I am not sure why, as an agent they could not uphold the contract on their end and therefore have cost me as their customer not only a financial loss for solicitors and other expenses but also stress and a disregard for my rights as a landlord. Absolutely unprofessional and a rude organisation. Vasilis is not only rude and patronizing, but he feels a sense of authority as a high member of the Greek Cypriot community. A big shame, we call ourselves a hospitable and kind race. I feel this is lost with Varosi Lettings. I wonder how they would feel if they were treated with this manor. Mario, Petros, Hassan, Sandra and of course the main man Vasilis is who I dealt with over the 2 plus year period.

Always on hand with a listening ear and Max was just the best support as was Andy. I would recommend Hunters Castleford for a rental to anyone as they are great with the personal touches, I always felt listened to and when I needed them they were always there. Thank you to all the fabulous team keep doing you are the best x
2nd Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)JR Sales Absolutely great estate agent !!! Local to me so I decided to use them . Lovely staff absolutely looked after me made me feel human very professional and no questions I asked made me feel that i could not ask them. And believe me I asked a few and especially as moving is very stressful !!! A big thank you to this family run business and even those who worked there who wasn’t family May as well of been. Everything completed we are super happy! A Big thank you to Sadie, Paul, Will and Marianne and even James who does the Lettings and was also really helpful if he answered the phone. THANK YOU TO ALL AT JR X
23rd Dec 2025 (12 weeks ago)I rented a property through Selmans for 2.5years. Over this period we found Nick and team to be amazing to deal with, the consummate professionals. Nothing was too much and any questions or issues were always handled in a timely fashion. I've rented through some of the High Street names before, but honestly, it has been like night and day in comparison. You're not just a number with Selmans, you get that family feel, they actually care that your rental experience is a good one. Cherry on top was our deposit was returned within days of checkout (and in full) after having been protected throughout! Thanks Nick and team. If ever I have a need to rent again, locally, you'll be our first call, thankyou all!!

4th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)I know that Aqeel kindly showed me the property and tried to help me with the contract. However, I would like to leave a review about the agency itself. They asked me to pay a deposit in order to run a reference check, but a few days later I was declined. It has now been three weeks and I still haven’t received my money back. The agency keeps saying they have contacted their accounting team and that the refund will be made soon, but I am considering whether I need to take legal action. I don’t understand why it takes so long to return a deposit after a rejection, and I believe this is a process the agency must fix. On top of that, because Aqeel told me the landlord would likely approve, I did not make an offer elsewhere and ended up losing that opportunity as well. Please don’t make the same mistake I did,do not pay a deposit right away. First confirm that the landlord has accepted the conditions before making any payment.
