10th Nov 2025 (9 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!
11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)We had a really positive experience with Reeds Rains (Salford Quay branch) and would especially like to thank Ian Jordan and Hannah Warham for all their help and support with the Find a Tenant service that we requested.<br>This was our first experience of renting a property and they were both incredibly helpful, professional and approachable throughout the whole process. Thank you both for your patience.

15th Jun 2026 (10 weeks ago)The initial meeting to value the property, the subsequent meeting to take photos and the organising of the paperwork was great, we were impressed, which was why we went with them. Unfortunately, after 14 weeks on the market they had only got us 2 viewings and their communication to us was a bit hit and miss, so we decided to go with a different agent. They weren’t the right agent for us on this occasion.- 5th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)I had a fantastic experience with Your Move from start to finish. Emily and Lee were both incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. They kept me informed every step of the way, answered all of my questions quickly, and made everything as smooth and stress-free as possible. Their excellent communication and support really stood out, and I couldn’t have asked for a better service. I would highly recommend Your Move, especially Emily and Lee, to anyone looking to buy or rent a property. Thank you both for all your help!
15th Jun 2026 (10 weeks ago)Terrible experience renting a property managed by this estate agents for 5 years. Hardly ever had issues resolved (pest, mould and draught), constantly missed/ignored emails, attempted to raise rent without following correct procedure, attempted to overcharge for final rent and unlawfully instructed us to book pest control ourselves instead of landlord doing it as a business to save money. Do not rent the Montondale property and avoid this business.

22nd Sep 2025 (11 mo. ago)I once excellent company completely wrecked by its new owners. The company used to be very easy to communicate with, now its easier to communicate with the dead. They use to be polite, but Northwood regard tenants as an inconvenience. I had eight years of good experiences but the ninth is a mess, and its all because Northwood, the new owners, are terrible. It must have taken a lot of effort to transform a great company into one I am now writing a one-star review for on every platform I can find, but they managed it.
28th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)Overall a mixed bag of opinions, chris himself who does the show rounds is lovely but buying your first home is a bit of a minefield to say the least, We had two failed property's with them. 1st property where the seller pulled out because we wouldn't pay 3.6k towards HIS defective lease this went on for a few months and resulted on us missing the deadline of our tenancy end in our current property. The estate agents was not considerate of the situation & didn't offer anything else within our criteria and just went about their day knowing we'd still be open to further properties as we were staying in air bnb's and hotels at the time. They just re listed the property as "newly" on the market when in fact it had been listed for the best part of 6-8 months prior. The second property we went to attend a viewing in which they hadn't pencilled in and we had to call whilst being stood outside for 15 minutes. to which we was told we never confirmed even though we had written confirmation of both ourselves and themselves agreeing a time etc, We was then rushed during this viewing because they'd double booked. We went onto register interest in another property and just never received a follow up. We shown interest in this property more than once left vm's and emails. If you're thinking about selling i would not use them as they don't care about you at all & have probably scared many other potential buyers off as well. After a whole year we managed to find a house with another estate agents stress free, This house did not come with free mould, soiled floorboards, leaking roofs, Landlord special cover ups & the area was not mis sold as a nice area when in fact it gave shameless a good run for its money.

Dewi Jones was able to put my property up for sale online within a week, and immediately we had multiple viewings. I got the price I wanted and it was a easy process as Dewi is professional and communicates regularly, he was always available to have a quick chat and keep me up to date.

I was selling my house after a bad rental experience due hugely to the Lettings Estate Agents, so I didn't have a lot of faith.<br><br>The process to sell was not all smooth, however what was different was the support and honest discussions I could have with both Daniel and Clare (Ellie was great too).<br><br>Thank you all, the sale completed yesterday and I have woke up feeling relief for the first time in 22 months!

3rd Aug 2026 (20 days ago)Jack was responsive throughout the purchase of my property and, whenever I contacted him, he helped move matters forward. He also remained helpful after completion when I needed further information about the property. His communication style could sometimes feel quite abrupt, and some early paperwork needed correcting, but overall he was effective and helped bring the purchase to completion. The Prosecco and card when I collected the keys were also a lovely and thoughtful touch!
26th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)As a landlord I would say you should avoid dealing with Taylor Jackson. They were dire at best. Totally incompetent as letting agents. Problems we had: The tenants rent was agreed but he never paid the full amount. They falsified a Tenancy agreement, we only found this out when we sold the property. They did not inspect the property. They held onto money the tenant did pay, we only found out by accident that the Tenant had paid, I am fairly sure had we not found out they would never have paid and their accounting system is dreadful. They had work carried out for us and we did not get any invoices just a charge. The tenant owed 18 months rent in the end so we sold the property. Good riddance Taylor Jackson!

11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)I have had the best year renting a property with The Property Place. From start to finish they have been incredibly helpful and kind to myself and the other tenants. Sophie and Emma have gone above and beyond to look after us- I am sad to say goodbye! I seriously couldn’t recommend them anymore to other people.

I was due to move in two months ago, and throughout the entire process I received no information whatsoever about the moving-in procedure. I emailed multiple times beforehand asking what I needed to do, but nobody responded.<br><br>When I finally arrived at the building, I was told I had to travel all the way to MediaCity to collect my keys, despite repeatedly asking in advance about the process.<br><br>Unfortunately, the problems only got worse after moving in. There was black mould on my ceiling, which I reported immediately. Someone came out and simply painted over it, despite me explaining that there clearly appeared to be dampness or a leak causing the mould. My concerns were not properly investigated.<br><br>Just 26 days later, the black mould returned — around ten times worse. There is now an active leak in the ceiling directly above my bed. I reported this over a month ago and have emailed every seven days since, yet I have received no response whatsoever from the property management team.<br><br>I have also reported the issue through their reporting service and still have had no response. This is completely unacceptable. I am now becoming unwell and have had to miss significant amounts of work, while the management continue to fail to take the situation seriously.<br><br>I have now contacted Salford City Council to see if they can put pressure on the building management to address the leak, damp and mould.<br><br>Do not rent with this property. I ignored the warning signs and I deeply regret it. If you are considering moving here, please take these issues seriously and think very carefully before signing a contract.
