1st Aug 2026 (23 days ago)I would not recommend this letting agency based on my experience.<br><br>I moved into a property on 31 July 2026 and was extremely disappointed with the condition in which it was handed over. The property had no electricity when I moved in. After investigating the issue myself, I established that E.ON was the supplier and was informed that the electricity had been disconnected due to a negative balance on the account.<br><br>The property also had no hot water, with the hot water system/boiler displaying an error. In addition, the property was clearly not prepared for a new tenant. It showed no sign of having been professionally cleaned, the walls were dirty, there was mould on the walls and blinds, the bedroom carpet had hard sticky stains, the lounge flooring was lifting, the kitchen walls required attention, and the toilet seat was broken.<br><br>The most disappointing part was the lack of communication and support from the agency. After calling the office several times and sending emails explaining that the property had no electricity and no hot water, there was complete radio silence. Despite raising urgent issues affecting the basic habitability of the property, I received no timely response or clear plan to resolve the situation.<br><br>Moving into a new home should be a positive experience, but unfortunately this was extremely stressful and disappointing. I hope the agency improves its property inspection process, communication with tenants, and response times when dealing with serious issues.

Viewings were organised promptly by Aspens following the sales advert and board within the property. I was kept informed as a matter of course, and any questions as to the progress of the sale were handled by Alex White at Aspens. Thoroughly recommended.

She kept me informed throughout and worked closely with her colleagues and contractors to help ensure everything came together successfully.<br><br>I very much appreciate Phoebe's personal assistance and commitment, as well as the support provided by the wider Guildford team. The team worked hard from the outset and generated a strong level of viewings, which helped us secure a buyer sooner than expected.<br><br>Although the sale itself took longer than hoped due to delays further down the chain, Seymours remained proactive throughout. In particular, Simon Gresswell has been excellent — consistently chasing, pushing, and keeping us updated to move things forward wherever possible. His communication and persistence have been genuinely appreciated.<br><br>Despite the challenges outside of their control, Seymours have been professional, supportive, and committed to getting the sale over the line.

They conducted viewings with great professionalism and kept us regularly informed of feedback. John Ryan in particular was always an encouragement to us when offers did not materialise. Once an offer had been received, Mark was a great help in negotiating a reduction on our new-build home. 18th Aug 2026 (6 days ago)I cannot recommend Seymours Godalming highly enough to anyone looking to rent in the area, and would particularly like to mention how amazing Josh Frewin was in helping me find a new home.<br><br>I had been searching for quite a while before contacting Seymours and was feeling really exhausted and stressed out by the process. But when I contacted the Seymours Godalming office, Josh genuinely listened to what I was looking for and even showed me a property that was just about to come onto the market that he thought would be a good fit for me, and which ended up being absolutely perfect! Josh gave the kind of personal touch service that no other agent had provided, and that really made all the difference.<br><br>Josh kept me updated at each stage, and he and the team moved things forward quickly (which was really impressive given the rather short turnaround for the move in date!) From the first phone call, Josh was friendly and helpful and his professionalism and initiative really stood out. He took away all the stress I’d experienced with other agents and has genuinely helped make this the easiest and least stressful move I’ve ever had!<br><br>I’m so happy in my new home (the ‘welcome to your new home’ card from the team was a lovely touch!) and I’m really grateful to Josh and the team for making this happen!
