From start to finish, Tayla was extremely professional and genuinely supportive at every stage. She answered all of my questions patiently and promptly, often before I had even had the chance to chase, and she kept in touch with regular calls to update me and check how things were progressing. She was always polite, approachable and a pleasure to deal with. Buying a home can be a stressful process, but Tayla and the team at Satchels made it so much easier. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell. Thank you so much for all your help!

30th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)I worked with Connells to buy my first flat in Hitchin, specifically with Rosie who I cant fault. She was communicative, friendly and always willing to help. The process wasn't easy (a lot of bumps in the road) but Rosie was proactive and reassuring and we got there in the end! The rest of the team are great, and Naomi also went above and beyond when I had a issue. Thanks so much team!- 4th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Good service from Satchells, but avoid Paul Taylor at Taylor Rose<br><br>Overall, I had a good experience with Satchells. The team were helpful, easy to contact by phone and did their best to keep things moving during what became a very difficult purchase.<br><br>Unfortunately, the vendor’s conveyancer, Paul Taylor, Consultant Solicitor at Taylor Rose, caused significant delays. There were multiple occasions where he was uncontactable for several days and enquiries were often not answered in full, resulting in repeated chasing and further delays. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise buyers to be cautious if he is acting for the vendor.<br><br>Satchells continued to chase where they could and helped get the purchase over the line. Overall a good experience with them despite a very frustrating purchase.

Excellent communication throughout the process despite deteriorating market conditions and a house close to the railway line that put off several viewers

27th Sep 2026 (30 days ago)Michael Graham have gone above and beyond in helping our family find a new home, and sell our home.<br><br>They sold our house to us originally so we went back to them when we wanted to sell and move.<br><br>Phil, Liz, Pam, Jaqs, Caroline, Daniel - everyone we dealt with at the Hitchin office were very professional, honest, knowledgeable, responsive and always lovely to deal with.<br><br>It’s been a long journey for us trying to sell our house, with the backdrop of a turbulent economy and booming house prices in Hitchin, but they stuck with us, and remained patient, even when we weren’t! We never felt like we were being sold to, and always felt as though the service and advice we were given was personal and specific to us.<br><br>Phil and Liz provided us with a lot of extra market information, beyond what they needed to, in a very consultative way.<br><br>Daniel, Pam and Jaqs were excellent at showing people round our house, always arriving early for the appointments and really taking the time to know all the small facts about the house so they could give the best viewings. Caroline was brilliant at keeping the sale transaction moving along, letting nothing sit still for too long.<br><br>I can’t recommend Phil and his team enough, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

13th Oct 2026 (14 days ago)I highly recommend Leysbrook estate agents, they did what they said, they looked after me from the first visit to completion on my house sale.The whole team were excellent they kept me updated all along the way, they dealt with any problems that arose professional but friendly making it less stressful for me, I’m so please I went with them

We got great advice about our potential buyers and situations so we could accept the best overall offer for us. Alex kept us informed throughout the whole process and we wouldn’t hesitate to sell through them again and recommend others to use them.

I prefer not to leave any reviews that could be perceived as negative if I don’t have anything nice to say.<br><br>The issues I have experienced so far:<br>1. They confirmed a washing machine would be in the property and when I moved in this wasn’t the case, and the letting agency was unaware (has since been resolved)<br>2. I didn’t have all the keys provided to me, the post key (I believe an honest mistake, with 11 keys noted in the inventory I only received 7 pieces, as they retain the rest, issue resolved)<br>3. Issues with access to hot water (engineer sent, has since been resolved)<br>4. Putting on the oven trips out all the plugs in the flat (unresolved and it was reported almost a month ago, was not working from when I received keys from 22 August)<br><br>I appreciate sometimes there requires communication between the landlord and the letting agency to resolve these situations, and independently these scenarios may not be that serious. However, after only signing the tenancy back in August, and living in the property for over a month, there have been way too many issues to be dealing with so early on, which is a concern.<br><br>I wouldn’t recommend this lettings agency based on my experience because I don’t believe they conducted enough checks to make sure the property was readily available to live in. In addition, the repair reporting system has required me to call and chase up repairs that I don’t believe I should’ve been facing so early on. The communication isn’t great when you need an update on the issues you’re facing and you are basically ghosted. Aside from taking time out of my workday to call and chase I’m not sure what else to do.<br><br>There were some good things I can report on like, the quick turnaround to get approved and the tenancy signed, and the welcome pack when I first moved in. But moving is already a very distressing experience, with trying to get things set up quickly and promptly. But having to deal with all these issues in the flat has made the experience worse. I wish I had a more positive experience but so far the bad has outweighed the good.<br><br>At this point I just want a working oven…

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent a property.

Joshua was really well informed about the local area and had the perfect plan of action to find the right buyers, multiple offers and achieved over asking. The portal and updates for viewings worked well for us this was seamless. Jake was also great in giving us help when it came to navigating the offers and next steps. The team kept in touch throughout the progress of the sale and we felt like everything was kept on track. The team were all friendly and enthusiastic throughout which was much appreciated. Thank you!

I’ve worked with other agents in the past, but unfortunately, they couldn’t even arrange any viewings. The ladies at VLS were different from the start. Professional , friendly, communicative, and proactive throughout the process. They managed to secure a buyer for me after just a few viewings! I’m very grateful for their hard work and excellent service.

We not only sold our property with them, but bought our onward property too, and in both cases, the experience was easy, efficient and as smooth as buying a property could be. The thing that stood out though, was the level of communication. We always knew what was going on, and because they used WhatsApp, communication between us and the team was easy and convenient.<br><br>Would highly recommend Wellington Evans. There is clearly a good reason why you'll see their boards everywhere in Hitchin!

5th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)One call undertook a complete refurbishment of my one bedroom flat - new kitchen, bathroom, lights, doors, plaster work, redecorating. Super reliable and high quality job pretty much on time (the heatwave slowed work a few days which is understandable). No nasty surprises when a couple of unavoidable issues popped up and I made a few new choices - I was always fully aware of cost and timetable. Highly recommended.
