14th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.
15th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)No matter which member of staff you contact the service is consistently good. Communication is clear and follow-up on point. Staff maintain a friendly and relaxed manner and are professional at the same time as being well informed and on the ball.
22nd Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Dowens kept me fully informed on any interest in the sale of the house we were selling They gave me feedback after each viewing. And while l have never sold a house before they helped me through what could have been a stressful business
16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Terrible customer service.
I asked a favour from Liz Burns out of desperation of not seeing family fpr 30+ Years.
Her response was brutally cold, ruthless and insincere.
Certainly wouldn't want any proffessional dealings with this company,as they are truly heartless.
24th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)We really appreciated the support we received in selling our property. The communication was great all the way through and the whole team worked hard to ensure that buyers and we as sellers had all the information we needed. The whole process was much smoother than we feared, as the team went above and beyond to keep everyone to the required timescales. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Youngs again.
14th May 2021 (5 years ago)Your-Move Durham have been quite outstanding throughout. Right from the very courteous and professional first contact, through to the final stages, I could not fault them in the slightest. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and gave excellent advice. Given all the work they did, I regard their fee as very reasonable. Going with them as my agent was the best decision I could possibly have made.
4th Jun 2026 (21 weeks ago)A massive thank you to Carla and her team for selling my house, it was a long and difficult journey which Carla travelled with us, it took an awful lot of time and hard work on Hegarties behalf to get me to the end. Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.
4th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)I am truly grateful to Gemma and Connor. They are the best Agent I have ever meet. They have been patiently communicating with me. I am extremely grateful for their support and assistance during my rental process. I am able to move into the house I desired solely due to their help. I have recommended them to all my classmates. Appreciate to Gemma and Connor for their hard work.
9th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)Big big thank you to Lily at the Houghton branch. She emailed me daily with details of properties she thought we might be interested in. She definately when the extra mile. A real asset to the branch.
2nd Oct 2026 (25 days ago)Janine was amazing. She arranged a viewing very quickly and kept in contact throughout the housing purchase giving updates to both me and the seller. As a first time buyer she was incredible reassuring and talked me through the process advising on time scales.
11th Oct 2026 (16 days ago)Janet went above and beyond to help us. She was professional and courteous at all times. On the day of the move my estate agent wasn’t even aware we were moving, Janet was dealing with our purchase property but assisted and supported us through a very difficult day with incompetent solicitors. I can never thank her enough for all her help.
This agent doesn't have any reviews- 1st Feb 2020 (6 years ago)We found Your Move - Houghton-le-Spring to be a very professional and efficient estate agency. From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party. We would highly recommend this agency to value and sell your property quickly at its true market value.
