By all means, do view your desired property with Cubitt and West. They have some nice, helpful, people working with them who were extremely accommodating.
Sadly, our experience was ruined by the sale process, where their recommended conveyancer (DC Law), with whom they claimed to have a very close business relationship, turned out to be totally incompetent and irresponsible. Moreover, the Sales Progressor from Cubitt and West only served to disrupt communications, confuse the process and be highly dismissive when we tried to express how we wanted to proceed. This resulted in consequential losses of thousands of pounds and a lot of unnecessary distress.
My recommendation, therefore, is to arrange your own legal advice, and block out the Sales Progressor from the process entirely. Block their email address and phone number if you need to! You will be much better off and have far more control over the process, as ours seemed to only be interested in cashing in their commission.

Disappointed with the service offered. An inflated valuation might be explained by the commission being based on original asking price not price achieved! After going to some lengths to explain I wanted a true valuation for a reasonably speedy sale and putting my house on 5% lower than the valuation it still did not get one viewing. The property was lovely in a popular location so, although admittedly the market is slow, to not get one viewing it was either poorly valued or poorly marketed, Trying to liaise with the manager or removing my property from their register was equally challenging, although the other staff were very helpful so a shout out to them.

Due to a family bereavement we had to sell a home that had been in the family since early 1970’s. Richard was very patient and helpful and offered some good advice prior to marketing the property. It sold very quickly however it came to light that the potentially buyers were completely committed so it was sold again to other buyers, part of a long chain.
Garry, the sales progressor then took over the reins. It was not an easy transaction as people lost buyers, lack of communication between solicitors was slow- very slow, however Garry persisted and kept me updated by weekly email and phone calls.

I had quite a stressful buying experience where I was mainly dealing with an auction company. Quite early on, I remember asking Jemma from Cubitt and West if I could just deal with her instead as she was so good!
On the day of completion, the seller hadn't yet moved out. After returning to Cubitt and West (in a very sour mood), both Jemma and Richard (the manager) were more than helpful and Richard even personally offered to drive to the address with me to put pressure on the seller to get out immediately. After I kindly declined, he continued working the phone without me asking in order to get the seller gone as quick as possible.
All of the staff I dealt with from Cubitt and West in Uckfield were fantastic to say the least, with particular mention to Jemma and Richard. If you're thinking of buying or selling I'd highly recommend this branch.

Not concerned with how he is treating people as long as he gets his commission. I have worked in the industry myself and never seen or heard of anything like the underhand tactics he performs. Stay away don’t suffer with health issues that he has caused me.

I met Jemma-Louise on a house viewing which wasn't quite for me, however she recommended another property which she thought ticked many of our boxes. 2 days later I viewed the house and decided it was 100% right for us. We are now in the process of purchasing our forever home!

We have had 2 other agents involved recently with various viewings and so on and they have been pretty useless by comparison. Certainly I would use Fred and his other colleagues if I were looking to buy/sell again.

Keen enthusiastic and friendly staff badly let down by corporate rules and an inflexible IT/software setup which did not enable them to present the property as we wanted.
They did get viewings but not many of them were suited to the property age or needs wise.
We also didn't like the hard sell 'upgrade' charges they tried to foist on us at the point of signing up, or the never before heard of extortionate 'uplift' commission for a sale over the asking price which was not pointed out to me, and I got them to cancel. Very corporate and money grubbing. - not the fault of the lovely staff.

Fantastic service from all at Cubitt And West, nothing was too much trouble to sort out when things were going wrong with the solicitors, they kept going and never gave up. I approached this office whilst looking for a property. Although they weren’t successful in finding a suitable one, I have to say that Charlotte is a brilliant estate agent. She contacted me on a weekly basis, listened carefully to what I was looking for, sent lots of properties to me, she’s always professional, very personable and helpful, never pushy, persuasive or condescending like some other companies I have been dealing with.

I have used Cubitt and West 3 times this year. The customer service throughout has been 5 star I wish I could give more. I would recommend the whole package including the virtual tours as this gives potential buyers an amazing overview of your property! Richard at the Uckfield branch has been so professional and always there to help, he exceeds expectations. The absolute bonus is you get the same level of service from John if Richard is not there. What an exceptional team... They should change their name name to Cubit the Best.

Absolutely brilliant!
Richard confirmed the value of a commercial property I no longer needed in the middle of High Hurstwood. Richard enquired as to whether I was interested in selling as he had lots of clients waiting, which he did, it sold straight away, before the details and photos were taken! I now trade and live in Wales, so Cubitt and West had to do everything, there was absolutely no stress or hassle for me, Gary progressed the sale quickly, and dealt with the solicitors. They are professional, attentive to detail, and not pushy, excellent all round. I would thoroughly recommend this company as they have superb staff. I merely agreed the valuation and to sell, posted the keys, appointed a solicitor, filled in a form, and got the money.

On recommendation we switched to C&W Uckfield from our previous agent. Initially we dealt with David Knox who subsequently left to be replaced by John Furber. Throughout the selling process, John and his team worked hard to find a prospective purchaser despite a slowdown in the market. We had a leaflet through the door to get a valuation so I booked an appointment, I then had another phone call as they could not read the written address ? , on the booked day I had a phone call to say the agent was ill and nobody free ? , i asked to re-book for a weekend but told fully booked, lady did not seem interested at all, i have taken a day off work to sort out different things and do not appreciate being let down.
Why do a leaflet drop if you cannot cover the work ?
The only positive review on here is by a Gemma Forster who actually works for the company ?

The most arrogant agency I've never came across. Look down on people and think I couldn't afford what I would like to view. Well, they didn't even make the viewing appointment as they thought I couldn't afford it....but big mistake of them! I bought a bigger house from another agency and they are so much more helpful and nice. I hope this review will help some people with choosing their agency in Uckfield of selling and buying.
