Landlords be very carful when signing with Porters.<br>Look beneath the shiny veneer and flowery shirts.<br>They will charge the highest prices for works they carry out and the provision of certificates ASK for a list of prices and check it against they industry standard before you sign.<br>They will lock you in to a 12 month rolling contract, if you are not happy you will not be able to change your letting agent for 12 months.<br>Don't believe them check that the work has been carried out by a professional especially when you are being charged £500 a day.<br>Watch out for silence when you point out a failure (no quote against a request to complete a certification, that's an open cheque book).<br>I am a customer of 5 years, until I looked closer now there is a long wait to escape overcharging and failure.<br>I look forward to Sean Porter trying dispute these statements of fact.<br>Addition<br>Since completing this review I have found out that Porters contractor completed unsafe work at my premises connecting a 1.28mm2 60 year old cable to a 16amp fuse.

Friendly, responsive team with a personal touch - Sean and the rest of Porters are quick to pick up potential issues and advocate for residents, and they also really help build a sense of community among the tenants of Du Cane Court. (The prosecco scavenger hunt remains a personal favourite, but the lovely welcome box and the periodic parties to get to meet our neighbours and share news about the building and good conversations were appreciated too.) We used Porters for two rentals in a row and will endeavour to return to them in future!

Porters were a pleasure to deal with. The benefits of this being a family company shone through with a caring and personal approach. Over the two years of our rental, we dealt with the same staff, deadlines were always kept, and when they said something would be done, it invariable was with courtesy and professionalism. The key difference between Porters and other agents was the staff. We have been leasing a flat through Porters for almost two years, and every step of the way we have been consistently impressed with their level of service and care.<br><br>I'm compelled to write this review as this week they have been supremely helpful: within 24 hours of notifying Lina our oven was broken she had organised for it to be fixed. And when Doug visited for a routine inspection the following day, he organised for two minor repairs to be fixed then and there.<br><br>I've never known an estate agent to be this on the ball. Sean and his team should be commended for treating tenants with respect and dignity – a quality often missing from other estate agents!

Highly recommended for landlords seeking a friendly, super organised, efficient local agency that really knows the area and sorts problems out quickly. I am very impressed with Lina and Elizabeth who were managed a tricky transition between tenants alongside sorting out a problem with the gas supply in my flat. If renting, beware of unfair end-of-tenancy tactics with Sean and his team. They attempted to withhold a large portion of our deposit using dubious claims and fabricated actions. When we questioned these and asked for evidence, their reasoning quickly fell apart (watch out for their 'With no prejudice' replies as a way to cover their backs). While we managed to challenge and resolve the issue, others might not be so lucky. Proceed with caution and be prepared to scrutinise any claims closely.

Following my previous review, I'm very pleased with the service provided for me concerning my property, I had to freshen up the equipment and furniture within the place I have rented out recently and Elizabeth, the agent working with me was very attentive, kind and extremely helpful.<br><br>I highly recommend this agency as it's a very resourceful place with top of the line customer service.

This is a fraudulent company who's currently under investigation. Operating in some back wardrobe by Tooting...thieving from landlords, tenants, under investigation for financial fraud. They've been caught out by tenants and landlords for concerns over thieving money.Go to a legitimate company...theres a few out there. you must protect yourself..this company has family members supporting it, raising concerns over validity of others reviews. check out Seans 'office'.....ahem.....

We are a couple, we were looking for a small flat and found it on this agency. We found it online and the communication from the beginning was amazing. Helen really helped us with all the things that had to be done before signing the contract, we were really inexperienced on this because this was our first time renting a flat. Helen made everything easy and fast. When we picked up the keys they gave us a welcome box and a Prosecco bottle, we felt really welcomed. Thanks!

Porters Estate Agents were very kind from the beginning. They replied to every email and every call in a record time. This was very important for us.
