I’m extremely disappointed with how this rental process was handled by Rodrigo.<br><br>From the start, I was fully transparent about my circumstances. Before references were even initiated, the agent confirmed that the landlord was aware of them and was happy to proceed. On that basis, I moved forward in good faith, paid for references, and stopped searching for alternative properties.<br>Despite my references coming back completely clean, the landlord ultimately refused to proceed. This suggests a clear breakdown in communication between the agent and the landlord, or a process that prioritised pushing the application forward without properly confirming whether it was actually viable.<br>As a result, I lost around 10 days of valuable time, missed out on other properties that were very close to being secured, and was left in a difficult position with my current landlord due to move-out arrangements already being in motion.<br><br>The way this was handled created unnecessary stress and uncertainty. I expected clearer communication, better coordination, and a more responsible approach, especially given how serious the agency presented itself to be, from the start.<br>I would not recommend going through this process unless the landlord’s position is fully confirmed in writing before references are requested and unless you can afford wasting your time because they absolutely do not care if they have to let let you down the weekend before your move in date.

I cannot recommend this agency based on my experience. From the beginning, their main priority seemed to be collecting five-star reviews, we were asked on three separate occasions to leave one, including during our very first call just to check property availability so figured we'd happily leave a review now.<br><br>We had an offer accepted on a property, paid a holding deposit, completed references, and signed a draft tenancy agreement. We were told that when we brought our passport into the office for a copy, we would receive the final contract. After that, we heard nothing from Rodrigo for 4–5 days.<br><br>14 days after paying the deposit and signing the draft agreement, and ten days before moving in, we were told the tenancy was being cancelled due to “work that would take longer to complete.” When we offered to be flexible with the move-in date, the agency instead confirmed the tenancy was cancelled outright.<br><br>By this stage, we had already given notice on our existing homes and were left with just 10 days to find somewhere new.

I’ve only had a couple of phone calls with Andrews Estate Agents so far, but what a breath of fresh air! How rare to find someone so easy to talk to and genuinely interested in helping.
