I don't usually leave negative reviews but after dealing with Belvoir on two separate property purchases, I feel it's important to share MY experience. I am in no way stating that this is representative of other customers.<br><br>As first-time buyers we often felt quite patronised rather than supported. Whenever we raised concerns, they seemed to be brushed aside. When our survey highlighted genuine issues with the property, these were quickly downplayed and put down to the age of the house or met with comments such as "it's sold as seen". We weren't expecting a perfect house but we did expect our concerns to be taken seriously rather than dismissed.<br><br>When we obtained professional quotes for the work identified in our L3 survey and tried to renegotiate, the offer put forward felt quite insulting considering the costs involved. It often felt like there was very little effort to properly understand or represent our position.<br><br>Communication was also frustrating throughout. Arranging viewings was far more difficult than it needed to be, especially for people who work full-time and ended up having to book annual leave to arrange a viewing. We regularly found ourselves being passed from one person to another instead of someone taking ownership and helping to resolve things.<br><br>The most disappointing part is that this wasn't our first poor experience with Belvoir. We previously had to pull out of another purchase they were marketing because of issues we uncovered ourselves regarding the leasehold terms. Had we not done our own due diligence, we could have spent significantly more time and money progressing a purchase that was never right for us. The information provided simply wasn't clear enough and it left us feeling misled.<br><br>Buying a house is stressful enough without having to constantly chase information, double-check facts and fight to have legitimate concerns acknowledged. Thankfully we've now completed on our home, but throughout the process Belvoir added far more stress than support.<br><br>Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend them to other buyers which is a shame considering they represent the majority of the properties in the area....
