I first met Gareth of the Marshalswick Bradford and Howley branch when I was looking for somewhere to buy. He went out of his way to give me hints and tips about selling my place and buying - even though I was with another agent. The agent I was with made lots of errors and after the contracted time was over, I made the decision to sell with Bradford and Howley and 2 other agents. The other agents, despite all they promised, weren't able to bring many people round to view and I soon made the decision to go sole agent with Bradford and Howley. Unfortunately the market was very slow and after so much time on the market, the house was not easy to sell. The team at Marshalswick stuck with it though and kept up momentum keeping bringing prospective buyers round, despite me feeling quite down hearted. When we finally achieved a sale, the team in St Albans took over and the sale was finalised. Both Marshalswick and St Albans were friendly and approachable and didn't ever mind me asking questions, giving me reassurance etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending them or in using them again.... We gave these agents a try but a waste of time - had no knowledge of the local area and used a remote "viewing agent" to oversee viewings who really didn't know the property and certainly not the area. Communication was all one way - from us and unless we asked we heard nothing. When we did speak it all just seemed like typical "sales patter". We will stick to traditional agents in the future....
