26th Feb 2026 (20 days ago)We sold our house in 2025 through Maddisons, and Karen (and the team) were amazing every step of the way. It was an unusual property, I live overseas, the buyers were tricky, lawyers were delayed and we needed additional last minute help to empty the house to meet the deadline - but everything was handled with professionalism and expert guidance. Karen also has great local networks - a moving company helped us at the 11th hour, only because they knew it was for her. She truly went above and beyond to make the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We’re so glad we chose Maddisons, and you can absolutely trust Karen to manage even the most challenging situations. Highly recommend!

No question was too much and they helped moved the sale along to a successful conclusion, I can't recommend them more and will be using them again in the future

From start to finish, the whole process was incredibly smooth and stress-free.<br><br>Communication was excellent throughout. A special thank you to Nick, who I dealt with directly. He was super helpful, friendly, and professional at every stage. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made sure everything moved along efficiently.<br><br>I can’t recommend Aubury and Finn enough if you’re looking to rent. A genuinely great experience from a reliable and supportive team.

It honestly felt like Shelby had our best interests at heart and she listened to what it was that we needed. She's also so responsive to all our questions and has made us feel really comfortable.

10th Mar 2026 (8 days ago)Ben was a great sales progresser during the sale of our property. He did a brilliant job of chasing the whole chain and making sure things kept moving along. He was always on top of things and quick to follow up when needed. Communication was really good throughout the process – Ben kept us updated regularly and was always easy to get hold of if we had questions. We really appreciated his support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)Bracketts surveyors produced a highly inflated dilapidations report of £105,000 in favour of the landlord. The report appears to be based on assumptions rather than evidence. There was no Schedule of Condition prepared before the lease, and no photographs were taken at the start of the tenancy. Despite this, they produced a report claiming extensive dilapidations without any proper baseline to compare the property’s condition. I contacted them twice by email requesting clarification, but they never responded. Due to the lack of transparency and communication, I have now submitted a formal complaint to Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

5th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)Our house move took a year due to a long chain and even before the chain started to form, in the process of looking at properties we ended up speaking with what felt like every local agency there is in Hertfordshire. Collinson Hall were easy to reach, they had a proactive approach to communicating with us throughout and it feels like they took the lead amongst the various agents in our 7-vender chain which I appreciated. Michèle Austin was the contact we worked most closely with and she was professional throughout and guided us through the ups and downs, as the chain evolved through the 11.5 months from property viewing to completion.

They were professional, proactive, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. My flat sold very quickly after changing agencies, and the whole process felt smooth and well managed. They also work with an excellent solicitor, Rebeka,which made everything quick and far less stressful than I expected. I would highly recommend Aqeel, Sohayl, and the Promptmove team to anyone looking to sell their property. Truly outstanding service!

Her expertise and knowledge of the market was pivotal in going from initial enquiry to selling our home in 9 days at a price we were delighted with. The regular communication was really appreciated ensuring we were always in the know with exactly what was happening. Could not have asked for a better service and highly recommend!

Kris was extremely efficient and handled the viewings professionally, keeping everything running smoothly. Tracie acted as our sales progressor and kept us regularly updated throughout the entire process, which made what can often be a stressful experience feel very well managed. We couldn’t fault the service and would happily recommend Cassidy & Tate to anyone selling their home.

I’ll admit I was initially skeptical about using Bradford & Howley again after a poor experience with staff at their St. Albans branch roughly five years ago when offering on a property. However, the Harpenden team has completely shifted my perspective with their handling of both our sale and purchase. The front-end of the process was remarkably efficient. We had more than 30 viewings in just two weeks, and the team was incredibly accommodating, working around our busy schedule to fit in initial and second viewings without any friction. Sarah Hollik, Senior Sales Associate was standout—her communication was proactive, consistent, and she kept us informed every step of the way. Aside from her professional capability she's also an extremely considerate person and keeps the customer at the centre of every decision she makes. Liam Howley jumped in to assist at the precise moment he was required. When the sale demanded a higher level of attention, Liam stepped up personally to manage escalations, which gave us a lot of confidence during the more stressful parts of the move. In a high-pressure market, they managed our expectations clearly and maintained a professional standard throughout. The only constructive feedback I would like to share was around the Sales Progression. We felt there was a lack of proactivity in this department, and it often felt like things only moved when we stepped in to chase them for critical time-bound movement. That being said, the overall service from the Harpenden office was professional and proactive. They successfully navigated a complex move for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as a solid independent local agency.

13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)We used Heartwood Homes for both selling our property and purchasing a new home. All the team were friendly and helpful throughout the process. Communication with clear and quick and made everything less stressful. If we move again we will be using Heartwood Homes.
23rd Nov 2025 (16 weeks ago)Praise for Allsopps Harpenden. I rented a central apartment for a two year period and had a great experience. The initial engagement process was smooth and transparent which was most welcome against the stresses of relocating to a new area with small children (plus immense pressure from competition to secure a property from other renters). I did have a few teething problems when I moved in but these were all dealt with swiftly and professionally using a range of local, trusted and reliable tradespeople. Allsopps were always highly responsive to any queries and issues and I was confident any matter would be dealt with in a timely and effective way. The end of tenancy was also remarkably smooth and pain free and no delay in returning my deposit. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick, Charlie and the rest of the team to any potential clients.
