27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)I purchased a house through Leaper Standbrook and the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The vendor had a language barrier, which required careful management. Unfortunately, this was handled very badly. For two months, the vendor failed to respond to legal correspondence, causing serious delays. As a result, my own buyer was close to pulling out and demanding money back. On the day of completion, matters became even worse. Leaper Standbrook had still not obtained the keys from the vendor due to poor communication and management. I was left sitting on the driveway of a house I legally own with no way to get inside. This should have been an exciting day, but instead it was stressful and upsetting. The lack of organisation, communication, and responsibility shown throughout this process has been unacceptable. I would not recommend Leaper Standbrook based on my experience.
2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)We had the pleasure of dealing with Tyrone for our first purchase. His knowledge of the local market massively helped us when out viewing properties. He recommended some additional houses to view of which one we fell in love with and ended up buying! We never had to chase for updates as we were always kept fully in the loop even with a small hiccup at the end (no fault of Tyrone’s). Thank you so much and when we sell we will definitely be coming back to Town Property

Lorraine battled very hard in helping to secure exchange in what became a protracted process. I can't thank her and the team enough for their efforts and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Eddy was excellent throughout, always quick to reply to emails, easy to reach on the phone whenever needed, and there to answer any questions along the way. Eddy, Chris and George were friendly, professional and helpful throughout, and George and Chris were brilliant during the viewings. The welcome box on completion day was a really thoughtful touch and genuinely appreciated. A big thank you to the whole team at Fox & Sons Langney. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend.

The sale went through reasonably quickly and they found a very suitable buyer to take over our treasured house. I would certainly recommend Leaders and use them again myself, when required.

Ours was not a straightforward chain, but Sam kept us informed with good knowledge and a sense of humour the whole way through. Could not have asked for more as an agent. Would highly recommend.
11th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)We engaged Crane & Co after seeing a property they had for sale and made an offer within 15 minutes of viewing. The property had been on the market for some time despite high demand. Negotiations with Michael Cane were slow, and we were told this was due to the vendor. After four days, we agreed on a price and provided all requested financial information and a mortgage decision in principle. At this point, we understood the sale was progressing. Shortly after, a cash offer was submitted and quickly withdrawn, but we were informed that a second viewing would take place for other potential buyers. This was surprising, as we had already committed quickly and provided detailed personal and financial information. Despite following all requests and meeting the vendor’s price, we were not given priority in the process. Within hours of the second viewing, the house was marked as Sold Subject to Contract (SSTC). Our experience was frustrating and left us feeling that communication and transparency could have been much better. Buyers should be aware that even after committing and providing all requested information, the process may remain competitive, and there is no guarantee that an early offer will secure the property. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Crane & Co. While the staff were polite, the process felt unnecessarily slow and unpredictable, and buyers should approach with caution and be prepared for a highly competitive process.
3rd Mar 2026 (15 days ago)We have recently sold with Just Property and I would definitely recommend them. They were communicative, got viewings in quickly (we had been on the market with another agent for a while and had no viewings for a long time), and gave feedback promptly. We sold our house within two weeks of being on the market with them. Once we had the offer, they kept in touch on a regular basis and formed a useful link between us and our buyers which kept things running smoothly. They even supported us in getting some issues with our onward purchase ironed out too. I don’t think I would use another agent now. Thank you Just Property!

6th Dec 2025 (15 weeks ago)James from G&S was excellent, very helpful and not at all pushy or salesy. I found him very knowledge and just a really nice guy, so patient and happy to help as well. I have to say I felt very safe in his hands, which I found reassuring when lettiing my home. I felt I was seen as a person and not just another deal that needed to get signed off quickly. Within a week James had organised 5 couples to view and then he went through each applicant with me, stating their strengths or weaknesses as tenants. I felt that he wouldn’t have let me go forward with anyone he didn’t feel would be a good choice. They also organise everything you need, the EPC, gas and electric safety checks and itinerary. Nothing was too much trouble. I would whole heartedly recommend G&S, they’ve got it right, and the office is more accessible for parking being just outside of the main town.

6th Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)I have rented a 2bedroom flat from HSL Eastbourne. I have had the most fabulous service I’ve ever had. They are very prompt with repairs or anything other issues that we’ve had. They are a very approachable team and am so glad we found them. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always there for us. If there was an award I could give, these are the people I would give it to. Really excellent customer service Thank you ????????
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Communication was smooth throughout, even when we had different views — I always felt listened to and respected.He also offered really helpful advice throughout, which made a real difference. Peter was equally great, always welcoming and professional, and made every visit to the property a positive experience. What really stood out is that, even as a buyer (not their client), I felt valued throughout. I didn’t pay them anything, but the level of service I received was outstanding. A reliable and trustworthy local team!
