Ollie valued our home and gave great insight into the current market and made us feel confident Rowland Gorringe was the right estate agents for us. Harry worked really hard to get good viewings, have really useful feedback and was responsive when we had questions. We couldn't have been happier with the service they provided as well as the wider team, including Megan and Rupert. Every time we thought it was over another hurdle reared its ugly head and they went that extra mile to smooth the matters out. Toby was excellent with the mortgage advice and I would highly recommend him. Also Arif was on board with fantastic communication when I spoke with him several times. I can highly recommend all the staff at Connells in Burgess Hill

30th Jun 2026 (8 weeks ago)Update (2026):<br><br>Seven years after buying our first home through Freeman Foreman, we decided to sell. We invited them back to value our home alongside other local agents, and they were the clear choice.<br><br>Stuart was experienced, honest, friendly and personable from the outset. Erin was our main point of contact throughout the sale and she was absolutely fantastic. She was always easy to reach, kept us updated after every viewing, communicated brilliantly with our buyers, and genuinely went above and beyond to keep everything moving. Both Stuart and Erin are genuinely lovely people and an absolute pleasure to deal with.<br><br>The only slight downside was the recommended Countrywide conveyancers, but Erin regularly stepped in to chase updates and keep everything on track.<br><br>Freeman Foreman have now helped us both buy and sell the same home, seven years apart, and they've been consistently honest, supportive and professional throughout. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.<br><br>---<br><br>Original review (2019):<br><br>As first-time buyers, Natasha, John and Hannah were so patient, honest and supportive throughout the whole process. 10th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)Extremely poor experience as block management . Basic management tasks were not carried out, instructions were repeatedly ignored, and financial records were inconsistent. Communication was defensive, aggressive rather than constructive when issues were raised, and the firm resigned abruptly without a proper handover instead of rectifying the issues, The service fell well below the standard expected of a professional managing agent … well obviously they are not professional! Not recommended , stay well away from !!
7th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)we were looking for a surveyor for the home we wanted to buy and contacted alot came across charles wycherley estatre agents who also do surveyers reports.well what can i say excellent service and a lovely man who was very knowledgable of the area.a kind man who took the time to go through our report if you need a surveyor or buy or sell your home charles is the person to go through .when i sell my home at some point i will go to charles 5 stars

I had been looking for over 3 years for the right property in Lewes and having met and had dealings with most of the other local Estate Agents I can say that my relationship with Lewes Estates was one of the best. They were always friendly, pro-active and professional in dealing with my enquiries and kept me fully updated throughout the process.

Right from the first viewing it felt like a very different experience and throughout the process, we were in contact with Richard who helped keep things moving at a good pace. Communication all felt very transparent and we always felt like we knew where we were at and ultimately in good hands. They would be our first choice to contact if we were ever to sell.

They always give 100% when transforming and styling spaces and take time to adjust minute details to allow properties to look their best. On top of that they have great personalities and look after those working with them and their customers. I just received a lovely card thanking me for working with them this year, an unexpected touch of kindness.

In particular, Isobel was outstanding - she was incredibly friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. She kept us well informed throughout the process and genuinely made us feel like a priority from start to finish. We couldn’t recommend her and the team highly enough.

Spencer has been a very efficient, hard working and polite agent. He is also a great communicator and always seems to be in a good mood, in spite of the difficult circumstances in which we had to work. I would recommend him to anybody as an agent. It has been a pleasure to work with him.

He was an absolute dream to have as the estate agent handling our purchase.<br><br>Buying a house is such a stressful process, but Dan made it feel so much easier. He was hugely supportive, diligent and incredibly responsive throughout. He gave us his time, shared his expertise freely and always made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.<br><br>What really stood out was how proactive he was in keeping things moving and helping us navigate what can often feel like a complicated and frustrating process. His calm, professional and genuinely helpful approach made a huge difference.<br><br>Thanks to Dan, this was probably the smoothest house purchase we have ever experienced. He is a real credit to Number Twenty Four, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone buying or selling a property.

17th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)We met Alexandra when she showed us round another home we were looking at and were immediately struck by her manner - friendly, honest and very knowledgeable - she knows her market really well. We decided to then use Alexandra to market our house, which was a decision we are so happy we made. The marketing she provides is far superior to other agents which definitely showed in the interest she achieved for our house. She got an amazing amount of viewings booked in and found a great buyer. We were incredibly lucky that she also arranged our purchase as well. House buying can be incredibly stressful, especially when you have to chase people down for answers and responses, Alexandra managed all this beautifully and made the process much easier than it should have been. I have already recommended her to family members and friends and will continue to do so. We can’t thank her enough.
24th Jul 2026 (30 days ago)Without doubt, this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had.<br><br>Although they may have eventually found a buyer for our property, that is where the positives end. Throughout the sale we experienced repeated problems, poor communication and an astonishing lack of professionalism.<br><br>The most serious issue was that our property was left unlocked on multiple occasions after viewings. Leaving a customer's home unsecured is completely unacceptable, and the fact it happened more than once demonstrates a serious lack of care and attention.<br><br>What was even more disappointing was the response when these issues were raised. Rather than taking ownership or showing any genuine concern, there was no accountability whatsoever. Ben, the manager, simply pointed me towards the complaints process and said someone would contact me to apologise. That apology never came. Promises were repeatedly made and not followed through.<br><br>The only person who deserves any recognition is Zoe in the office. She was courteous, professional and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, she was let down by the wider management and overall level of service.<br><br>For comparison, we purchased our new home through Mansell McTaggart, and the difference was night and day. They were proactive, professional, communicative and treated us like valued customers from start to finish.<br><br>Buying and selling a home is one of the biggest financial transactions most people will ever make. You expect your estate agent to be trustworthy, organised and accountable. Sadly, our experience was the complete opposite. The lack of communication, failure to accept responsibility and disregard for the security of our home have left us extremely disappointed.<br><br>I would never use this company again, and based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before instructing them.
