30th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)As a first-time buyer, I trusted this estate agency to provide accurate and reliable information when viewing and proceeding with a property purchase. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I was shown the property, I was told three key points that significantly influenced my decision to proceed: • That the flat had an allocated parking space • That the leasehold was 999 years • That residents contributed to a joint building insurance policy After several months of progressing the purchase and paying substantial solicitor fees, it became apparent that all three of these statements were incorrect. There was no allocated parking for the flat, the lease was under 150 years rather than 999, and there was no existing joint building insurance policy. Each time I raised these issues with the estate agent, I was simply told that the information had been provided incorrectly by the seller and that they apologised. While mistakes can happen, these are material facts that should have been verified before being presented to a buyer, particularly as they directly affect a purchaser’s decision-making. The process was stressful, costly, and ultimately ruined my trust in the agency. Buying your first home should be an exciting experience, but being misled on multiple fundamental aspects of the property made it extremely disheartening. I would strongly advise future buyers to ensure all key details are confirmed in writing and verified early in the process.

She clearly knew the market and the area to give us the best guidance to put in a successful offer on our new home. The building site was very restricted for additional viewings, but Emma was very cooperative for us to gain access, and for trades to arrange dates with her to measure up. Invaluable for us to have a successful and easy move. Thank you Emma, you really did make the difference to our purchase.

12th Mar 2026 (6 days ago)We used Hamilton Piers in Springfield. I gave 4 stars because I thought the communication between the sales team could have been a bit better when doing tge viewings. Having said that we were overall happy and would recommend them. I give Sarah in Sales Progression 5 stars because she was brilliant, she always called me back when I had a query or needed an update.
10th May 2024 (1 year ago)Holly was professional and very knowledgeable of property in the Tiptree area. Originally priced the property above the recommended value had 16 viewing that David Martin undertook. Communications by phone and email were good keeping us in the picture. They obtained the buyer and communicated well during the negotiation process.

1st Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)I leave on 218 Harwich road 3 year ,was very old house, i let this house with Abbotts Property from Colchester, Manager from theare check with me this hoise before i leave and say everythig is the same how was before and hi does t see any reasson to take my money back from depozit, i leave i moving to Romania with my family and after 1 months this agency Aboots send my message i have to pay back 1600£ to change floor, toillet, garage door, etc so this landdor not coming any day in 3 year i spend my money to fix some things and now hi whany to clean and change floor with my money. So be aware with this agency!

We had already agreed a sale privately, meaning we had an admin-only deal, but our aims and timescale set a high bar which Dan didn’t hesitate to help us achieve and maintain. Great service, comms and advice, highly recommended.

Excellent service throughout the process, open and transparent and they responded quickly to an initial maintenance issue. I would highly recommend them as a tenant and would happily use them again.

13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I chose Grace estate agents because of previous complimentary reviews, it’s out of town centre office location affording easy access and parking. Their terms were clear and reasonable, with their MD Tara Grace taking the time to introduce herself and the business to me. Here is the thank you message I sent to Karen Ward, who looked after the sale of my property, which speaks for itself: Just a note to express my appreciation for the way you have handled my sale of the above mentioned property once having secured a buyer. What on the face of it, should have been a comparatively straightforward transaction, ended up being slowed by the need for the buyer to change their representing solicitor practice twice! You were always ‘on the ball’ chasing up as required along the way. I also really appreciated the friendly and professional way all the office took calls if you were not there or otherwise engaged! All your colleagues were always a pleasure to deal with. Having had recent experience connected with the attempted sale of a different property further made me appreciate the way your agency works!
21st Feb 2026 (25 days ago)I experienced extremely disappointing service from Richard and his team during our recent purchase, and the contrast with our current agent has been stark. On more than one occasion, Richard stated that he “works for the seller, not the buyer.” While I fully understand who instructs and pays the agent, such comments came across as dismissive and unprofessional. A competent agent should manage the transaction professionally for all parties and ensure the process is handled with care through to completion. We ultimately withdrew after discovering the property was of non-standard construction, something that was not disclosed to us. This oversight cost me nearly £500 in fees, not to mention wasted time and significant inconvenience. It is concerning that an agent marketing a property was unaware of such a fundamental detail. Once our offer was accepted, communication deteriorated noticeably. Calls were not returned, emails went unanswered, and when I raised this, the explanation given was that they were short staffed and someone else had been asked to respond on his behalf. This demonstrated a clear lack of ownership, accountability and professionalism. Overall, the experience fell well below the standard I would expect.

Our move was complicated by collapsing chains and erratic behaviour from some of the parties involved - I am so glad we used Rock Estates as they helped us navigate all the problems we faced Thank you
13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I recently sold my property through Palmers & Partners Estate Agents and had a very positive experience throughout the process. Ollie carried out the initial valuation and was extremely professional and well prepared. He brought along a folder containing detailed research about my property, the local area, and comparable properties that were either currently on the market or had recently sold. His valuation recommendation clearly took a number of important factors into account, which gave me confidence in the pricing strategy. During the appointment, Ollie also presented a PowerPoint explaining the company, including their recent sales performance over the past couple of months. It was informative and demonstrated their strong activity in the market. Another point worth mentioning is that Palmers & Partners do not charge sellers or buyers for ID checks, which is a refreshing change compared to many other agents. Their commission rate was also very competitive and lower than several other quotes I had received. The company also has its own dedicated Sales Progressor. From my previous experience buying other properties, I know how valuable this role is in helping transactions move smoothly, as they liaise between the buyer, seller and both solicitors. The marketing of the property was excellent, and the results speak for themselves. My property sold within just 5 days, with only two prospective buyers viewing. The office team are quick to respond to both emails and phone calls, and every member of staff I’ve encountered has been friendly and professional Overall, I found Palmers & Partners to be professional, transparent and efficient, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.
