During the time we have been renting and staying in a property in Chelmsford, She has given consistently provided great support being responsive, professional, and very helpful whenever we needed assistance. 15th Jun 2026 (20 days ago)We withdrew from a purchase through Cheffins after what became an increasingly pressured and unprofessional experience.<br><br>Throughout the transaction we felt repeatedly pushed for mortgage and solicitor updates beyond what was reasonable, including requests to contact our mortgage advisor directly. At the same time, important due diligence issues we raised — including arranging further builder access and investigating legal concerns relating to access land — were either delayed or met with pressure to proceed within arbitrary deadlines.<br><br>The final straw was being given a 24-hour ultimatum alongside an exchange deadline before outstanding legal concerns had been properly resolved. Our solicitor had identified issues requiring further investigation, yet we were still being pushed aggressively toward exchange.<br><br>Buying a property is stressful enough without feeling pressured or spoken down to. We were proceedable, financially strong buyers acting in good faith, but ultimately decided to withdraw and pursue another property where the process would be handled more professionally and collaboratively.<br><br>Would not recommend this agent and would never use again.

From start to finish, they were a superb estate agent to deal with, and their support made a genuinely difficult transaction far more manageable.<br><br>This sale wasn’t straightforward due to Probate and equity release issues, but Richard’s help and guidance throughout was faultless. He was calm, responsive, and always one step ahead—providing clear advice and reassuring us at every stage.<br><br>David Burr truly went beyond the realms of an estate agent. Andy would always be available even out of hours. Would highly recommend this estate, they kept me positive about selling my property as they really understand the local market. We had a few agents come out to value our property, but we decided to go with Colubrid because, from our first meeting, Joshua seemed extremely confident that he could sell our home quickly. As the Chelmer Village estate agent, he explained that properties like ours are his bread and butter. Our property went on the market on Thursday and was sold by Monday. I cannot thank Joshua and the team enough for their hard work and professionalism throughout. I believe Millie conducted the viewings, and I was told she was local to the area. That certainly showed, as her knowledge of Chelmer Village helped generate multiple offers on our property. If you're thinking of choosing Colubrid, don't hesitate. I would highly recommend them.

Mine was a complex situation with the move but I had so much support from Matthew.<br>He worked so hard to ensure the sale of my house and purchase of my flat went as smoothly as possible.<br>He was really easy to reach and I was kept up to date throughout.<br>I would strongly recommend them, especially as my house sold straight away, and for the asking price!<br>I honestly can’t thank them enough.
30th Mar 2026 (14 weeks ago)I called on Friday to view a property to rent in warley for Saturday afternoon, I called 2.5 hours before to confirm the booking which was fine apparently, so I drove over an hour out of London to go see the property. Then 1 hour before my appointment I was called to be told that the agent was running late and if I’d be able to push my appointment back by one hour. Annoying, but fine so went and had a coffee in town, then drove back to the property and just 7 minutes before my appointment I was told that they’d no longer be able to show me the property today at all. I was absolutely furious but was assured I’d get a call first thing Monday to be shown around the property, surprise surprise no call at all. Extremely unprofessional and definitely wouldn’t recommend.
