25th May 2023 (2 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.
14th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)I decided to move to probate properties from your move after 9 months of waiting from another high street estate agent. Comparatively,Sandra is very nice and kind and this estate agent truly know how to complete a sale smoothly. James set the price accurately and his knowledge of valuation is very accurate claims that the property is very popular and has lots of offers and I appreciate . They do check buyers source of income in very detail and I appreciate as this can avoid hiccup in midway of sale and I would recommend any sellers to choose your move james Barrett as your estate agent

They were realistic with value estimates, extremely professional, excellent at communicating and keeping us in the loop, and kept pushing all parties to get the sale over the line in the desired timeframe. 14th Aug 2023 (2 years ago)The person who valued our house and did the sales pitch to us was great, but the person who actually dealt with our sale was terrible. She added no value to the whole process, never answered the phone or called us back, sent really unhelpful emails with no clear actions or asks in there and provided no effort to mediate our chain and keep all parties happy. It felt like she ended up working for our buyer rather than us who were her clients. She also seemed to shy away from difficult news and did everything over email rather than calling and helping to get people on side. I would not recommend. Our friends had a similar experience so this is not an isolated incident.

Simon and the team were extremely helpful at every opportunity and assisted us throughout a tricky sale to achieve the best possible outcome. Simon took time to be thorough and detailed in every area, always a phone call away and also made every effort to fully understand what we were looking for in an onward purchase. We will be using Walker Smale without hesitation whenever we next need to buy or sell.

Always on hand with a listening ear and Max was just the best support as was Andy. I would recommend Hunters Castleford for a rental to anyone as they are great with the personal touches, I always felt listened to and when I needed them they were always there. Thank you to all the fabulous team keep doing you are the best x

It was a bit of a battle throughout the whole process as dealing with leasehold properties isn’t straight forward at the moment but they stuck with it and got the job done! Received an appointment to view a flat very quickly and had confirmation that we were successful in securing the flat the next morning. Very efficient, excellent service, extremely friendly and helpful!
