Like all house purchases it had its challenges and Martin dealt with these with total professionalism working as a honest broker between me and his client. 20th Apr 2023 (3 years ago)I can’t thank the Leese and Nagel team enough, professional from start to finish, kept us updated throughout, their knowledge of the local market is second to none as well as finding us the ideal buyers to suit the house of our late Mother. She would be so happy. Leese and Nagel were honest, reliable and friendly while never letting their professionalism down. The whole team were superb. Thank you Rob, Louis and Catherine who we had personal dealings with but I have no doubt the rest of the team would be the same. Massive thank you from me, my brother and sister.

4th May 2026 (5 days ago)We have found our Agent Miranda Menzies to be very helpful, hard working, professional and feel we would not have sold our property if it was not for her. Definitely use Property Experts if you want a smooth sale without the promises other estate agents gave us and did not deliver.
21st Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Zest correctly identified the advantages of the property, advertised these, correctly identified that we should drop the price modestly given the state of the market, re photographed the property when some unsightly scaffolding got removed, and were prompt and responsive in communication

8th May 2021 (5 years ago)Beware of using Andrew's to buy/sell! Due to the poor standard of service and lack of communication we were not told of 2 unresolved boundary disputes that affected the sale of a property we had made an offer on. This caused a delay of nearly 7 months before we were forced to withdraw from the purchase due to the behaviour of Andrew's staff and management as well as the sellers attitude as they were constantly told it was not an issue by andrews. Andrew's later admitted to being aware of the boundary disputes when the property had been originally listed. You cannot complete and have the deeds transferred to your name or even get a mortgage on a property with unresolved boundary disputes - Andrew's you should know better! Being repeatedly lied to is not an appropriate form of service! We would not have proceeded to order surveys and searches and instruct solicitors had we known when we made our offer. This entire debacle has cost us nearly £1k in fees. We were offered a mere £250 as compensation for 7 wasted months and £1k of wasted money. We were constantly told it was not an issue and it was repeatedly minimised which dragged the process out. Despite making a complaint to management and escalating through the complaints process to head office we have had no appropriate resolution.
2nd Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Ive had a great experience with Howards. They were excellent communicators, kept me informed about viewings and viewers' remarks every step of the way. I feel they dedicated a very generous amount of time to getting my flat sold and they left no stone unturned in the process. I strongly recommend them.

29th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)We worked with Rupert Oliver as a buyer where they were acting as the agent for the seller. They were consistently responsive and professional, and it was a pleasure working with them. I also happen to think they do a great job with the photography and details of the listings that they represent, and as someone on the buy-side I can only say that I was impressed by the quality of the listings they represent.
9th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)If you’re a student, I’d seriously think twice before renting with this agency. From the start, the flat was handed over in a poor condition but labelled “professionally cleaned.” Then when we moved out, they tried to hit us with an absurd cleaning fee on top of everything else. When I pushed back, they shifted the blame instead of taking responsibility. Thankfully, the independent deposit adjudicator ruled in our favour, which pretty much says everything about how fair their claim really was. The whole thing was way more stressful than it needed to be. If you end up/already are renting through them, document absolutely everything, keep records and don’t be scared to challenge unfair charges. And I’m clearly not the only one — a quick look at the other 1* reviews says a lot. Honestly — if you can, just rent somewhere else.

21st Apr 2026 (18 days ago)My friend and I were renting a flat in the Downend area through a company called Intire. We were happy with the service they provided. Then that was switched to Chase Buchanan and things went down hill. Within months, they notified us that 'the landlord' had decided to increase our rent by 30%. I was in a low paid job & my friend had recently lost her job so it would have been a struggle to afford that. After some discussions, it was agreed that it would be reduced to 'just' a 15% rise. Still a struggle but we managed. About 10 moths later, they informed us - BY EMAIL - that the landlord had decided to sell the flat & that we had to get out. There was no chance of us affording to live together elsewhere and, as we were getting zero help from Chase Buchanan, we had to separate. They also charged us £300 (+ VAT) to have the place deep cleaned after we left when the flat was far from clean when we moved in 6 years earlier. Some staff were helpful at times but I found it very unprofessional to be told that we were being evicted by email. The only good thing to come out of this is that we'll never have to make use of the services again.
16th Jul 2025 (9 mo. ago)We switched agents to Goodchild after a slow 3 months with another agent. James was confident that he would get our house sold for the full guide price and he delivered. Unfortunately, our sale fell through after a number of months, just before Christmas. We were considering pulling the house from the market but James said he had other buyers and he delivered again. Our house sale completed with the new buyers very quickly and for full guide price. James brings enormous confidence and energy to the sale process. He’s resilient and ultimately delivers on his promises. We really appreciated the approach he took to communicating with us and the support provided by his team. I have already recommended James to neighbours and would trust him again. He’s a great guy who works hard for his clients. Thank you James. J&R.
