16th Mar 2026 (2 days ago)Very impressed and grateful to Richard Harding estate agents who managed the sale of our property. We spoke to several other agents known for their premium listings and wider geographical reach, but ultimately chose Richard Harding for several reasons. Firstly, we were keen for a prompt off market sale but not at the cost of compromising the sale price - their extensive list and knowledge of existing potential buyers (which far exceeded that of the other agents) meant they were able to identify genuine, suitable and proceedable buyers, ultimately meaning we had a very good offer within a week that proceeded to completion. Secondly, we agreed small sales team to conduct viewings, all of whom had visited the property before it was marketed and were familiar with all the fittings, selling points and nuances to give the property the best chance of a sale. Having secured a buyer, I was also very impressed with the proactive approach to move the sale process along and to smoothly manage the inevitable blips along the way. Huge credit to Ben Murray-Brown, who was handling our sale on behalf of Richard Harding, who was relentlessly efficient, kept me updated throughout, is an excellent read of character (very important when ensuring everyone on all sides of the sales process is on the same page) and was a pleasure to work with. In respect of my onward property purchase, Ben was also excellent at translating my 'on paper' requirements into worthwhile viewings, and was an honest and helpful sounding board when considering pros, cons and development ideas.

From advertising the property, to arranging the viewings or managing referencing and contracting processes - everything ran very smoothly. Special thanks to our property manager Max; who facilitated the process from the start. He’s professional, insightful and responsive - giving us peace of mind while abroad. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CJ Hole.

27th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)From putting our house on the market, to getting through to exchange the care and attention to detail given by Adele Baker was superb. When things got tricky she went above and beyond to expedite a solution in a very professional manner. The sales brochure was brilliant, based on Duncan’s excellent knowledge and advice. The support from Vicky Elias and Lucy Lingley-Stephens was also excellent and we were kept informed about progress every step of the way. All round the team at Goodman and Lilley gave superb service and I would recommend them without reservation.

Rob’s valuation was spot on and clearly based on a strong understanding of the local market. The marketing was excellent and the team moved quickly to get the property in front of serious buyers. Dan and the team who handled the viewings did a great job presenting the house, while Charlie kept everything organised and moving smoothly. Most importantly, they were proactive, professional and genuinely helpful throughout. They exceeded expectations and helped me find the right buyer. A big thank you to Rob, Dan, Charlie and the team. I’d happily recommend CJ Hole Westbury-on-Trym to anyone selling their home.
13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.

Jessica went over and above to ensure everyone in the chain was ready for completion, which definitely helped reduce the stress levels!

The whole process is handled very promptly and they take care to explain everything through so you know what to expect the whole time. Really good at communication, I spoke to Charlotte a lot and she always responded quickly and kindly making sure to keep me informed when I was unsure of anything.- 2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)Booked a viewing today I telephone the agent saying they cancelled on the 02/03/2026 saying they rang me I said to them no phone calls very rude staff attitude problems
20th Feb 2026 (26 days ago)Our buyer’s position (which Connells knew about from the start, but didn’t tell us) meant that there were significant delays, and it would have helped us a LOT had they explained it to us at the start. Furthermore, there was virtually no sales progression from Connells until we started piling the pressure on. All in all, it was an extremely stressful sale that took a long time (almost seven months in total from the date of us accepting the offer, despite there being no chain at either end), due in part to Connells not giving us all the relevant information, and to them being very relaxed when it came to progressing the sale. We did get it done though, finally. Would have given Connells one star, but have upped it to two stars as they did pull out the stops at the end and started being more helpful and communicative, which we appreciated. I certainly wouldn’t use them again though.

The process took longer than expected due to delays on the buyer’s side, but Sadie kept things moving and kept me well informed at every stage. I always felt supported and reassured during this stressful time. I’d happily recommend Sadie and the team and am very grateful for all her help.

23rd Nov 2025 (16 weeks ago)Praise for Allsopps Harpenden. I rented a central apartment for a two year period and had a great experience. The initial engagement process was smooth and transparent which was most welcome against the stresses of relocating to a new area with small children (plus immense pressure from competition to secure a property from other renters). I did have a few teething problems when I moved in but these were all dealt with swiftly and professionally using a range of local, trusted and reliable tradespeople. Allsopps were always highly responsive to any queries and issues and I was confident any matter would be dealt with in a timely and effective way. The end of tenancy was also remarkably smooth and pain free and no delay in returning my deposit. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick, Charlie and the rest of the team to any potential clients.
