The Woman we dealt with who we believe is possibly a partner repeatedly didn’t find answers to our questions, it seemed as if it were a constant battle throughout, she also came across false and over the top. As far as the owner of the company goes one meeting was enough for us. Occasionally we spoke with other employees who were always friendly and efficient, shame the same can’t be said for management.
27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)Was recommended MOV8 from my mortgage advisor and as a first time buyer, can say everything went incredibly smoothly, all questions answered, all details explained well, really was an easy process. Would highly recommend and would use MOV8 again for any future property requirements.
20th Nov 2025 (17 weeks ago)We are still mid missives, moving towards exchange of contract day, but so far, it's all been good. I was selling on behalf of my brother with dementia, but they were very understanding and helpful. Advertising etc was good - it was not an easy property to sell, but they did it. All communications have been clear and good. I only did 4 stars for value for money as we are yet to see what the final costs will be. Nonetheless, as I live far away, it was important to have someone deal with everything, swiftly, simply and with clarity.

Fast, clear, helpful advice; quick turnaround on documents and any questions we had; extremely helpful explanations at each stage of the process. Jeremy and Louise were really helpful and friendly to deal with also. Would definitely recommend.
14th Dec 2025 (13 weeks ago)We have used Sturrock Armstrong and Thomson for our wills and for previous house sales and also when we moved house recently. Apart from a minor issue when our bid for a property arrived a few minutes after the deadline but was quickly resolved they were very good to deal with, kept us informed at all stages and were particularly attentive when we were arranging viewings for our house. Leonard and his team looked after us.
7th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

5th Nov 2025 (19 weeks ago)I’ve had a really positive experience with Murray & Currie. They have always been approachable, offering sound advice and support whenever needed. Their staff are personable, professional, and genuinely keen to help. Recently, when my landlord decided to sell their property, the team at Murray & Currie were very supportive and made what could have been a stressful transition much more manageable. I truly appreciate their help and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring letting agency.
6th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)Having sold hundreds of flats over the years professionally and many of our own, I was hesitant to use a new solicitor for marketing our properties. We tested Connor Malcolm with a small sale which went very smoothly, being under offer within 4 days, then another small flat, again, being offer within 3 days this time. The process from marketing, to conyevancing has been first class. The key stand out is communication, from the buyer leads to the legal process, we were kept in the loop at all times and updated. From both a professional and personal perspective I can highly recommend the team at Coonor Malcolm, David, Scott, Lauren, Rachel and Erin have been great, as have the team behind the scenes. Thank you.
11th Mar 2026 (7 days ago)The process started very poorly. After contacting them in September about purchasing a new build, things were smooth initially and I was told on 24th October that my case would be passed to the conveyancing team and they’d be in touch within 7–14 days. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear anything for over a month. Multiple calls resulted in promises of callbacks that never came, which was very frustrating during such a stressful process. However, once the case was eventually picked up, the service improved significantly. Communication became much clearer and the team were helpful and responsive - Rhona in particular was absolutely fantastic, went a long way to patch up the terrible start, and is the reason I am amending this review.
20th Jun 2025 (8 mo. ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.
3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

6th Dec 2025 (15 weeks ago)Dunpark sold me my first home recently and I couldn’t have been happier with them! The viewings were very professional, and we were offered a second viewing of the property at a time to suit us (a Sunday morning, Emma seems to work tirelessly to keep things running smoothly). Emma provided incredibly helpful advice and kept us informed throughout our offer going through and being accepted, this included out of hours and weekend support. Picking up our keys was straightforward and friendly. When our burglar alarm got set off and we didn’t know the code (these things happen!), Dunpark called us back with the answer we needed within 5 minutes. Many years down the line, when we decide to move on, we won’t be considering anyone but Dunpark to sell our beautiful home. Our estate agent took the time to get to know us on a personal level, and made the effort to understand our needs. He explained the marketing strategy, answered all enquiries with detail and oversaw all the viewings. He really owned the process and kept us updated every step of the way! Looking back now, the journey has been nothing but an enjoyable success. Thank you

We really cannot fault the service we received from Aaron and would recommend him to anyone (indeed - we already have). He kept us well informed through the process; we never had to chase him. He also stayed late one evening to assist us with a potentially costly snag during the process, which he resolved speedily and smoothly. We would have no hesitation in working with Aaron again. He’s a brilliant solicitor. Thank you, Aaron for all your help these past few months.

We’ve been searching for a property to buy for a while, and I have to say Blair’s attitude, sincerity and knowledge were remarkable, genuinely some of the best I’ve experienced. It was clear he knew the property inside out, and his recommendations about the flat&building were really insightful. Highly recommended.

Joe managed to sell our property in less than a week, and for over the Home Report value, which exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive to messages, always on the ball, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the process. He consistently kept us updated on proceedings, so we always knew exactly where things stood.
