Their staff are personable, professional, and genuinely keen to help. Recently, when my landlord decided to sell their property, the team at Murray & Currie were very supportive and made what could have been a stressful transition much more manageable. I truly appreciate their help and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring letting agency.
6th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)Having sold hundreds of flats over the years professionally and many of our own, I was hesitant to use a new solicitor for marketing our properties. We tested Connor Malcolm with a small sale which went very smoothly, being under offer within 4 days, then another small flat, again, being offer within 3 days this time. The process from marketing, to conyevancing has been first class. The key stand out is communication, from the buyer leads to the legal process, we were kept in the loop at all times and updated. From both a professional and personal perspective I can highly recommend the team at Coonor Malcolm, David, Scott, Lauren, Rachel and Erin have been great, as have the team behind the scenes. Thank you.

After contacting them in September about purchasing a new build, things were smooth initially and I was told on 24th October that my case would be passed to the conveyancing team and they’d be in touch within 7–14 days. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear anything for over a month. Multiple calls resulted in promises of callbacks that never came, which was very frustrating during such a stressful process. However, once the case was eventually picked up, the service improved significantly. Communication became much clearer and the team were helpful and responsive - Rhona in particular was absolutely fantastic, went a long way to patch up the terrible start, and is the reason I am amending this review.
3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.
23rd Feb 2026 (23 days ago)Lovely team but our home was over-valued and on the market for 3 months with 3 viewings. The office is local so local knowledge should be on point. The communication was always initiated by me to ask what we can do, reducing the cost, including social media etc Emails took a week to be responded to, if at all. Parted ways after 3.1 months and have missed out on the home we wanted to buy. Massive waste of our time, unfortunately.

24th Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)Zone Letting have managed my rental property in Edinburgh for the past 8 years and I can thoroughly recommend them! The few tenant changeovers I've had have always been managed professionally and carefully with Zone Letting covering all aspects of relisting, tenant reference checks and landlord obligations etc. Any maintenance issues reported by the tenants are communicated to me immediately by Zone's property managers, and any repairs needed are carried out to a high standard of workmanship. Employees at Zone are easy to communicate with, efficient and friendly and always more than willing to go that extra mile to ensure all parties are getting the best letting property service possible.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We really cannot fault the service we received from Aaron and would recommend him to anyone (indeed - we already have). He kept us well informed through the process; we never had to chase him. He also stayed late one evening to assist us with a potentially costly snag during the process, which he resolved speedily and smoothly. We would have no hesitation in working with Aaron again. He’s a brilliant solicitor. Thank you, Aaron for all your help these past few months.

His approach is entirely customer-focused, and his level of service goes far beyond what most agents deliver. He recently sold a family property that was deeply sentimental to me, and the care he showed throughout the process was exceptional. Scott personally handled everything from selecting the photos and writing the listing content to conducting every viewing himself. The result was a sale handled with real understanding, tact and professionalism. From his first valuation and market guidance to achieving nearly 10% over the Home Report value, every part of his work was first class. Scott is a pleasure to work with, outstanding at what he does, and my go-to estate agent in Scotland. I’d recommend him without hesitation.
