I’m a conveyancer and have been working in conveyancing for some time now, so I’ve dealt with countless estate agents. Unfortunately, many tend to leave everything to the conveyancers when it comes to chasing updates and progressing the matter. Dave has been outstanding throughout this transaction. He provided consistent updates and was extremely helpful in supporting the sellers with even the smallest matters, particularly when it came to obtaining documents and information from third parties, and ensuring the buyers’ requests were easily manageable for the client. This was also a chain of 8 properties, yet Dave stayed proactive and involved throughout while many other agents in the chain seemed content to sit back. It genuinely makes a difference working with someone who is engaged and committed to helping keep things moving. Dave was exactly that. Highly recommended.

She promised to come back to me and she did without any follow up. She fully understood what we were trying to achieve . Look forward to working with Ellen going forwards and if this level of client service continues Ellen will definitely be a welcome addition to the team.

22nd Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Both Stuart and Tom have been an absolute god send in what was made an incredibly difficult transaction by Solicitors. They have chased relentlessly to keep momentum and without them, I’m certain we would have seen the time at least doubled. A difficult property to sell, they managed to quickly find me buyers when the sale fell through 3 times, remaining calm and efficient the entire time. Unfortunately the original property we were buying also fell through, but some great alternatives were quickly presented, noting all the things which were important for us. Thank you so much guys!

19th May 2025 (11 mo. ago)Thomas Connelly have been good trying to sell our house. They have been polite and courteous when reaching out, and they have tried different things to push the sale. I would have really liked more feedback and more of a push from there end to get creative in the sale space but I feel the experience overall is a positive one.

We were living abroad when selling and he kept an eye on the property for us to cover our insurance requirements and responded positively to other requests we made. He was very quick to respond to emails and follow up queries or chase solicitors for us. He helped us achieve the price we were looking for very quickly, and guided us through the process seamlessly. Fabulous service all round.

Found us a buyer within the first week of our house going on the market and we completed 2 and half months later! Can’t thank Kyle, Emma and Luke enough, whole team was on it the entire time. Highly recommend.

The team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. Selling and buying at the same time can be stressful, but they made everything feel seamless and well-managed. Communication was excellent at every stage, and we always felt informed and reassured. Their attention to detail, dedication, and genuine care really set them apart. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t be happier with the service we received and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell or buy a property. A truly exceptional team! 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

10th May 2022 (3 years ago)1st Choice a friendly family run business always maintained excellent communication which I really liked, if I had any problem weekday, weekend, or on a holiday, Kelly would reply back to my messages for support very quickly and same day. When I moved in to the property it was fully refurbished to an excellent standard. One time during winter I had a problem with my boiler with no heating for a few days. I made one call to 1st Choice and Mark dropped off some electric heaters, untill we got it fixed through Mear's. Anyone looking for property to rent then I would definatley recommend 1st Choice.

After having our flat on the market for three years with multiple other agents and getting nowhere, he managed to secure a sale in just two months. From the start , he has been proactive, communicative, and genuinely motivated to get the best outcome for our family. The difference in approach compared to our previous experiences was night and day – better marketing, regular updates, and a real sense that he cares about the service he provides.

17th Nov 2025 (25 weeks ago)They didn’t sell my house. I had to pull them off and go for a PTX as they began to give me anxiety. They didn’t keep me up to date and when it came to speaking to my PTX company they gave inaccurate information which affected my valuation. They seem like lovely people but I don’t think I will recommend them to anyone as there were just too many issues that I felt I didn’t have to deal with.
