17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
5th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)Came over to Batcheller Monkhouse on Saturday late morning around mid day as had an unusual day off to see someone about selling our cottage and was pretty disappointed no one there but your website says 9-1 no sign of anyone despite calling the number on website too so gave up and went elsewhere that was open. Matt.

14th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)????? I was recently travelling through Midhurst and, not knowing the area well, decided to stop by this estate agency. I was incredibly impressed with the knowledge Meghan shared about the local area and the types of properties available. I’m planning to move to the area in a couple of years and will definitely be returning, hopefully Meghan will be able to help me find the perfect home. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely helpful these days, and I didn’t get the same feeling from other agents I visited. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome! Sophie
