14th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)I am writing this based on my experience dealing with an agent at Century 21 London Central regarding a serious water leak from a property they manage.<br>A leak from the flat above caused significant damage to my flat, including damage to the ceiling, walls and flooring, with further cracks appearing in several areas. The source of the leak was subsequently confirmed by a Westminster Housing technician.<br>I first informed Dusan about the matter on 21 June. Since then, I have had to repeatedly chase for progress:<br>9 July – followed up for an update<br>14 July – followed up again<br>20 July – followed up again<br>21 July – contractor visited the flat to inspect the damage<br>28 July – followed up again<br>3 August – followed up again<br>On 3 August, the contractor confirmed that he would prepare the quotation that evening and send it to the agent the following morning, with the intention of arranging the repair as soon as possible. I heard nothing further.<br>By 12 August, I had to chase again. The agent then emailed the contractor asking for the quotation. This was despite the agent having already asked the contractor for the quote on 9 July and again on 29 July.<br>As of 14 August, almost eight weeks after I first contacted the agent, I still have no quotation and no date for the repair.<br>What is particularly disappointing is that I have repeatedly had to chase both the agent and contractor, rather than seeing the matter actively managed through to resolution. From my perspective, it feels as though the responsibility is simply being passed back and forth, while the damage to my property remains unrepaired.<br>The situation has also developed further, with my tenant reporting electrical problems after the water spread through the flat, including repeated circuit/fuse tripping and lights no longer working. This makes the lack of urgency even more concerning.<br>I understand that the leak itself was not caused by the agent. My concern is entirely with how the resulting problem has been managed. I would expect a professional property management company to take ownership of a serious maintenance issue, communicate properly with all parties and ensure that necessary repairs are progressed within a reasonable timeframe.<br>I am also a landlord myself, and I take the condition of my property and the wellbeing of my tenant very seriously. I would never allow a repair issue like this to be left unresolved for this length of time. Based on how this matter has been handled, I would not use the agent and Century 21 London Central to manage my property, as this level of management could damage the landlord’s reputation and potentially expose the landlord to complaints, liability and legal action if the property is not properly managed.
15th Sep 2025 (11 mo. ago)I wasn't overly impressed by the estate agent. While they were upfront about the market and the difficulty in selling, I don't believe they were actively engaged in the marketing of the property. While presence for viewings, I felt that the agent showing lack knowledge of the properly and area with the owners really providing the viewing. When recieving an offer, there was an underlying pressure to accept a bid which was well below our expectations and only through our push back we were able to get a more satisfactory offer. Something I don't think we could have got with the guidance of the estate agent

From the very beginning right through to completion, she was there every step of the way, making what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and well managed.<br><br>Lynne was always proactive, approachable and incredibly responsive. She was constantly chasing things up, getting answers to our questions quickly, and keeping everyone moving in the right direction. It genuinely felt like she was invested in making sure everything progressed as efficiently as possible.<br><br>Her communication was excellent throughout, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Having someone so knowledgeable, dependable and involved from beginning to end made a huge difference to our experience.<br><br>We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lynne to anyone buying or selling a property. Thank you for all your hard work and support, it was very much appreciated.

29th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)FJL produced a very good brochure with nice photos but they suggested we reduce the asking price which they recommended in the beginning. They had the house on the market for 5 months but we never received an offer even when.price was reduced.

Sue, Sarah and the team handled the issue quickly, graciously and with the utmost integrity. They made a stressful situation much easier to handle, and I would not hesitate to recommend this agency.

The staff are genuinely kind, helpful and accommodating, and always do their best to arrange viewings around your availability.<br><br>I’ve found the team very honest and understanding throughout, while always maintaining a professional approach. There’s also a personal touch to the service that really makes a difference.<br><br>A special thanks to Adam for being so helpful, thoughtful and professional throughout.<br><br>Highly recommended!
11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)I had such a positive experience with Mia and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, she was incredibly patient, understanding and attentive. It took her no time at all to understand exactly what I was looking for in a rental, and I genuinely felt listened to and supported throughout the process.<br><br>Although I ultimately didn’t end up securing a property through Foxtons, what really stood out to me was that Mia continued to check in and follow up with me afterwards. Mia knew my required move date was approaching and took the time to make sure I had something lined up, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful and showed how much she genuinely cared. I’m extremely grateful for all of Mia’s help and support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a property.

22nd Aug 2023 (3 years ago)If I could give 0 star, I would. Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, cheap & discriminative service that this agency provides. Home owners pay them to have a part of full service. The tenants will have to deal with their own reference checks etc. as the agency is washing their hands when it comes to doing anything that they are getting paid for. After being passed onto a referencing agency who couldn't do their job properly, (which I now believe happened in collaboration with the agent of DPR as they didn't want to give us the flat ) we've been asked to get in touch with a 3rd party agency to sort out the problem. Why would you use two 3rd parties to do your reference checks? Later on the agent made is seem like it was all our fault (that their agency couldn't reference us properly) and they ahed contacted the landlord and suggested him not to go ahead with us. In all honesty, you guys better make a call to Trading Standards as well - I reported them already.The more of us the better.

From the first viewings to guiding me through the purchasing process has been smooth and Karen gave me every confidence that she was in control with regular communication and her experience really helped. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AS A BUYER - AVOID HAMPTONS!??<br><br>Called their Blackheath office to book a viewing to see Masons Hill, Woolwich.<br><br>We agreed to view on 4 Saturday July at 11:15 a.m but Susan called later and told me she couldn't accommodate me at 11.15am. I explained to her that I have many viewings lined up the next two Saturdays as I live far and I cannot come in earlier or attend during weekdays.<br><br>I explained that I am a full cash buyer. Later, the woman said you're not special. We have many fully cash buyers. Needless to say fully cash buyers, no mortgage is actually rare so Susan is being deceitful and is not operating in line with the Ombudsman Code of Conduct and have reported this to the Ombudsman.<br><br>Susan was rude, obnoxious and unpleasant to deal with. Rather than being or taking the sympathetic approach, she takes the direct and rude approach.<br><br>Horrendous experience as a prospective full cash buyer and have second thoughts on viewing properties with Hamptons.
19th Mar 2026 (22 weeks ago)Poor experience with this letting agent, not helped by the tightest landlord (Kate) who wouldn't pay for repairs to be done in a timely manner, leaving our family in tricky circumstances more than once. When they do eventually send someone over to complete the work, it'll be done shoddily. I hope that £43 you managed to claim back via the DPS versus the nearly £800 you asked for is helpful :) To any renters - be under no illusion, the letting agent works for the landlord and is not there to help you in the slightest. This specific letting agents manager will suggest you scrape and replaster the bathroom ceiling (which was poorly maintained by the landlord) yourself "to make the house your own".- 29th Jun 2026 (8 weeks ago)Dealt with Lovelle a fair amount over the years and it’s always been good service. However recently I’m not sure if there has been changes but the dynamic seems to be even better with the team and you can tell they all really get on. I’d like to especially give props to Karen and Mason as there has never been a point where their energy fails to prevail through the phone and no request is ever too much. I think Mason might be new and he seems a great chirpy chap. I will always recommend Lovelle to my family and friends and will continue to use them for any future needs.

26th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)I would not recommend originally rung up and told there were more than one interested in property and that X was was best option as he had the money in place and was just waiting for money to arrive from parents. He put in an offer and asked me to take it off the market for two weeks so that he would have the money and we agreed on around 25 Feb on the basis that this would be a quick sale and was expecting that contracts could be exchanged by the beginning of May. I signed my part of the contract on 7 may and after that constant false promises about X being ready to exchange contracts - do not know who was lying client X / client solicitor/estate agent but it turns out X had a flat to sell and that there were problems with the lease on his flat and after many false promises contracts were not exchanged until the beginning of August. At the end of the day I do not know who was lying but had I known at the outset that he had a property to sell then I would have considered the other interested parties and their offers and had I known in early May he had issues with the lease on his property I would have re marketed the property On 31 July 19 days before sale was told "you will now begin to hear from our Sales Support Manager, Sandra. She will introduce herself shortly and will be your primary point of contact moving forward .......She will be in touch regularly" I did not receive any call from this lady at all regular communication with the estate agent was also far from perfect on occasions with calls emails not returned/replied

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.
