30th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.

5th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say I wound trust then to be involved in and sales or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect right?- 5th Oct 2020 (5 years ago)If you are renting in Bishop Auckland, go elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not interested at all. They allowed a vulnerable tenant to live in a complete and utter pigsty with no roof, wall to wall mould, with bags of human waste and needles filling the yard and have consistently negated their legal obligations. Thankfully, the tenant has since moved out, these clowns won't be laughing when this gets to court. I cannot recommend this shambles of a company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

18th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Would be a zero if possible , this has got to be the rudest man I’ve ever spoken to . Rang to enquire if a property that they were advertising for rent was still available and he was obnoxious and unhelpful from the start . Luckily found out at this early stage and now know not to go anywhere near them for any future business . I feel sorry for anyone who has signed them up to sell or lease their homes as they speak to potential tenants and buyers very badly . Their horrendous reviews speak volumes . 24th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We viewed a property on December 30 2025 and made an offer the same day. Although the office was closed , the manager rang me from home and we started the process.. Through out the whole journey Marian from the Stockton office was absolutely amazing. She kept in constant touch and nothing was too much trouble for her. She went over and beyond to help us. We shall never forget her professionalism and kind nature.

29th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Awful experience from day one. Lesley came to me with a tenant who moved in October 25. First off they allowed a tenant to move in with no months rent up front - never agreed with myself. 7 months later I am still a month behind on unpaid rent even though I have emailed Lesley directly every month chasing. Peter Clark received the keys back to the property on 15/05 and I’m still yet to receive the months rent I’m owed. To add to this there wasn’t a single month where the rent was paid on the date stated on the agreement and instead they allowed the tenant to pay them with cash each month.

17th Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.

Within two days I received an offer of the full asking price. They worked together with my solicitor to ensure the sale went through smoothly without any hitches. All the staff were friendly and super helpful, I definitely recommend Ingleby Homes to anyone who is looking to sell their property,
